I was given a k800i by a work mate and it is locked to 3, is it possible to unlock this phone and if so can someone please advise how I can do it, I am a total neebie so please explian well.

The above link should be where you will have all the instructions in the "Remove SIM-lock patch generator". I hope this helps. I'm pretty sure the K800i is DB2020.
