Conference Calls - Linking up multiple calls

I've wondered.... does anyone know the max number of people that we can link up on a conference call for a SE phone.

I have a SE Z610i and I was able to get two other people linked up for 3 way call. Is there a max number on this type of call?

Well the manual for your phone says that it can hold up to a total of 5 people on the conference call

Conference Calls - Linking up multiple calls

This feature is network service dependent along with technology limitations.
At max one person can connect to five people on conference.
More than five is not possible due air timeslot bandwidth and fair distribution issues.
Further relation to it is call conference codecs that user phone is having.

Re: Conference Calls - Linking up multiple calls

I was only able to link up to 3 more people including the original call that I made which puts the total conversation up to a total of 5 people. Even if the manual said 5 + 1(caller). I guess I reached TMO USA's MAX amount of users on it.

Although the networks should have a good amount of bandwidth for 1000s of connections at one given time. I wonder why it wouldn't let me connect more people. Is it because of one call trying to saturate an amount of air bandwidth that the network just wouldn't allow or it just doesn't have enough bandwidth???

I don't really think it wouldn't have enough bandwidth since every second in 1 day there's always someone on the same network in my area making a call or doing something to use of air bandwidth. **shrugs**

i think its cell phone carrier-dependent. I mean u have to pay extra for conference call hence it must be limited to the service provider :P
