I have a K800i that would appear to have some corruption within the contacts database that causes the handset to freeze.

i am not sure if is rellevant but the entries that appear to have the issue begin a number instead of a letter, however it always seems to be the last entry in the database that cause the issue.

For example, when i search or edit my contacts by default the last entry is listed as "4a TEST", when i try to scroll down to this the handset locks, however if add a new entry "4b TEST", this replaces "4a TEST" as the LAST entry - now i can access the previous entry "4a TEST" but "4B TEST" now locks up the handset.

All of my fault finding has revolved around using the handset only to manipulate the data so far. i am bo no means an expert on the software tools available but i have just used the SEtool and XS++ to unlock my handset (problem existed before and after this process). Any advise appreciated.

Oh i have also used the SE Suite to try and back up the handset with contacts, this fails (only on the contacts part)

Thanks for any assistance
Al
