Still havent found a solution for my dead W580i

Ok since all my attempts to fix the EROM(Red blinking light under the C button ) on my w580i, I will just post my Log files and pray someone will have an answer for me. These Log files will include SETools, XS++, and Wotan.

XS++ - As soon as I connect with 2+5, I hear the connect sound, but immediately after I hear the disconnect sound? Log:

Wotan - People claim you can fix the EROM for free with Wotan if your phone is a db2020 phone, but I think the W580i is a db2020 (based on what SEToos says), but I cant connect bc of invaild login. Oh yeah, older clients do not work, just to throw that in if you want me to d/l an older version.

I dont think I can go into more detail than this.
Is it going to be possible to fix this phone? Or should I just buy Wotan credits and get it fixed? But I have heard people claim they never got their data or Wotan didnt fix it....soooo Im skeptical. PLZ HELP!!!!

Try D-Client or Total Multi Server. If you can't do anything take your phone to service centre.

Try to repair your EROM with KulanKendi Client, if Wotan didn't work.

if that doesn't work, you should get a service/cruiser cable or send the phone to se to fix.

I had the very same problem. NO software but KulanKendi did update my EROM... But unfortunately it didn't solve my problem :( .. so i suggest u to let ur service centre to handle it ;)

I would totally send it in to ATT for exchange, but they said if they found third party d/l they would charge me full price for my phone, which is like 250 bucks! I didnt d.l 3rd party stuff cuz I made it on my own, but I bet they will assume since it wasnt created by ATT that it is 3rd party.

Edit: I also tried to flash the phone with SETools with an erom file I d/l under main firmware I think...Is that bad? Will I have to reflash the main and fs to my phone? I appreciate all the inputs bc of what I said above ^ . But yall said I could send it in to SE? Would they charge me like ATT would for having non ATT files?

What in the world can cause my phone to do this? Can transferring files I made really make my phone die or defective like ATT claims? Or are they just trying to get money outta me..I think its option 2. Any input would be great

The best way use setool full ver so take your phone to service center.

i think that may be the problem, after the EROM update did you flash MAIN and FS again before trying to start your phone?? if not try that...........

No I didnt, Ill give that a try. Any clue which main and fs files I need to flash to it, or will it not matter.

It cant start the GDFS whcih means your GDFS is wrecked. If you have a backup put it on the phone. And if you dont, you need to send it to a service centre.

Thanks for the answer bro...I never flashed my phone before so I do not have the GDFS backed up. I guess Ill have to just take it to ATT. What all can kill my GDFS if ive never done anything to the phone. ATT claims that files not from them can do it...that true?

Can ATT bring my phone back to life if the GDFS is dead? Bc if they cant, im assuming they wont be able to turn back on my phone to determine the cause of the corruption and ill have my free phone? Any thoughts?

Well if you know somebody with a SETool Box he can do it those stupid guys from public Service Points are stupid. They almost always say it doesent work, your Phone does work just bring it to some private Phone Shop they always have much more knowledge. In a private Shop tell that your GDFS is wrecked and that you would like them to repair it. This shouldent cost more then 30$

Yeah Bro there isnt one near where I live. If the GDFS is bricked and ATT people are as dumb as you say, should I just send it in for my replacement phone, or do you think they have a GDFS Backed up for every phone they sell so they would be able to fix it themselves and "Determine" (Blame ringtones and charge me a buttload of money) what caused the corruption?

tried flashing main too but i havent tried EROM since i dont know how to do it

Hi i have a big problem with my w580i

after installing some flash themes, and after disconnecting it from my PC in proper way

it died, whenever i push on/off button, red light blinking on the right side under 'C' button and i tried charging it all night already and it didnt help, i tried repairing it using se tool 2 lite but it didnt work

EROM can be repaired with a "Recovery" with Setool Box.....(no LITE version)
If EROM can't be upgraded...You'll have to change the flash ic and make emptyboard with box
