Firmware of different phones

I've been reading the forum for the past couple of days and have a question I couldn't find answer to.

Is there a difference between same firmwares of different phones? (such as R6BC002_RED52 of S500 and R6BC002_RED52 of W580)

so if I flash a S500 to W580, I can get the walkman function?

yes u will get walkman 2.0

Yes, but most of times firmwares are also hardware related, so be carefull, because too different firmware can blow your phone.

both firmware follow the same foundation but they vary differently due the fones hardware
