XS++ 3.1 Crashes when "Flash" is pressed

Hi there,

Well, I just bought W810, what an awesome phone. Mine is unlocked but branded (the company left their logo in my software).

I want to have it de-branded so I can remove the ad-crap and also want Flash themes. The problem is, after I press "Flash", the program's Window just closes. Until the battery is removed and re-inserted, the phone is dead.

I also installed the SE update service so now when I plug the phone in (when not holding the C key), Explorer launches so I can browse the phone. Anyway, I backed up my GDFS. Then I process to "Flash". The only file I have access to is W810_R4DB005_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED50.mbn - I am not sure how old it is so...

I tried using the SE Upgrade Service, that works but does not de-brand the phone nor it flashes it.

- Why does XS++ crash? Why can't I flash/de-brand my W810? and where can I find the latest firmware?

Please assist me if you can.

hmmnn.. how about using a previous version of xs++, such as xs++ 2.2

Any links to 2.2? Where can I download it from? I will try everything possible just to remove the "adware" from my phone.

If anyone also knows any links to up-to-date firmware, please post them.

Perhaps it has to do with these USB drivers? I mean, my XP SP2 installed the drivers by itself (after the installation of SE-US)

You can get firmware files and several XS++ versions in our download area.

Flashing the main only will not debrand your phone.

I just went there. Turns out I have to have 20 posts + be a member for 2 months otherwise I need to purchase a membership. I don't even know if it works.

Then tried with Setool lite.

3.2 is a beta version, i suggest you use xs++3.1 or setool2 lite 1.11

I agree with number 1 , because xs++ 3.2 can brick your phone. It`s not stable enough.

i suggest re downloading XS++ from here XS++ v3.1 (darwin) - SE-NSE Forums
and try using it......

use xs++ 2.2
flash your phone with any version of firmware and update it with SE Update Service if update is available
