Hello, my K600i (unlocked) went dead after installing different sim card. I tried to power up with T-Mobile sim (original sim card) and still no luck, all I get is multi second flick on the screen. If there's anything to do to get my phone fix please let me know. Thanks!
well first off, try charging it. It may be something as simple as that. Otherwise it may be something a bit more difficult to solve.
FYI-Battery is fully charged before having this problem. I just test the batt with DMM and read 4.5vdc.Quote:

Phone doesn't work with any sim card or without sim card. Once the power is button is pressed all I see is a little bit of brightness and you won't notice if it's a white screen or what. I tried updating the firmware with SEUS using DSS-20 but no lock, I always get to the point that says "make sure the dock is connected to PC, remove and insert battery and etc.." What else to do except scraping this phone?Quote:

After get info with xs++ you should reflash the proper firmware or update.
berthstein: Have you had good results with K600 and XS++?
The last time I used XS++ for that model it damaged the phone.
What hardware do I need to use, because I tried connecting my phone & pc using DSS-20 won't do, I also tried the mini USB cable that came with it but no luck. Thanks for the quick reply.Quote:

No! You must use "SEMC Tool v8.4 Free" for a full flash (personally tested and working), you can change CDA also. Works only with DSS-20/25 or T28 service cable. You can use the fimware in dowload area or bin files firmware.Quote:

He was saying that you have to press the power on button very shortly, but repeatedly until the phone gets detected. The phone should not turn on (that's what happens if you hold the power on button down instead of pressing it shortly).

I used semc or setool free for K600/K608 CID36 / 37 / 49.
The harder ones obviously were cid49 and then I proceed with test point and service cable (or t28 serial cable just to unlock them).
Service cables (4in1 cruiser cables) are autoignition cables, it means you don't need to press power button shortly.

I have a cid49 files but when it's time for me to choose the file none of them shows as MBN files. Kinda lost there, but I think I'll be able to recover my phone if I have the right files. Thanks for helping BERTHSTIEN..
BTW, I'm using SEMCTOOL.
charge the battery and reflash again with the same cid
If have got .bin file (main + fs), you will be able to flash them with setool lite or setool free. If problem of config error, finalize with semc.Quote:
