K800i to w580i

Hi today i flashed my k800i to a w580i using xs++, and when i turn it on, the flash flashes, then the screen keeps flashing white about every three seconds and when the screen turns from black to white the flash lights up...

any ideas...

Flash back to K800i. Flashing to W580i was a quite stupid idea.
Have you backed up your GDFS?

Yes, its backing up now, isthere any other phone model apart from k810i that would work on the k800i??

What do you mean "it's backing up now"?
You didn't back it up before you flashed to W580? Well, in that case it's likely that your phone is completely bricked now...what CID do you have?
You can't flash to any other model than K810i at the moment.

i ment it was writing the script backup to the phone and its nearly done, i have
EROM CID: 52

Flash back to K800i before you restore the GDFS.

ok, its just flashing the 400th main firmware block...

yes thanks jasmin its working fine thanks, ive stuck with the k800i rather thank the k810i becuase the differnce is tiny and my three web browser dosent work on k810i, thanks to all who helped...

It is possible to convert K800 to W850, but the joystick of the phone won't work anymore.

so you bassicaly cant control it... so its usless, but on the video it shows him controling the phone..

he (or she) is controlling the phone with myphoneexplorer or sth like that

first thing you need to do if you want your screen to work- you have to upload k800/k810 display driver, i think you can use this one


many people are working on converting k800 to wXXX
i know that there is some progress made on se-nse forum (they almoast made joystick work)

im going to try that now, your first post and uve helped me loads, thanks for your help, i ll give it a try...

Okay ive done it, its a w850i, and the joystick sort of works, but most of the time goes mental, and the flash goes crazy, can the mem stick work, as the w850i uses pro duo and k800i uses m2, will it ever work??

i don't think so
if there is a lot hardware difference- it is impossible
but on se-nse (don't think i ma advertising them- i only "hang" there a lot) there is some progress being made turning k800 to w880- memory stick works, joystick doesn't, somoeone said that he almoast made camera work, another someone said that he may be able to make joystick work

i think (and hope:)) that the conversion will be possible in a few months

well w850 didnt really work, so i tried w880, but keypad dosent work, so i couldnt enter my pin whick had 3s in it so i couldnt even get onto the phone, also if you flash your phone to many times can it damage you phone??

like wear it out or something???

but, for sakes cause, backup your gdfs (in case sth goes wrong)


you don't have to try any wXXX software, many people are working to make the crossflashing possible
and they tried every wXXX software on their k800/810
