Well i have a w580i and i like it so mutch......Walkman,Shake-control,RSS-reader.........and the sound are cristal-clear !!!

Gotta agree. It's stylish, has great sound quality, and so far has been suprisingly durable for me. I also just went through flashing for my first time. Now it's even better than before.

Don't play games on this phone, my keypad breaks right after one game.

If your keypad cracks/breaks you need to get it serviced because you have a defective keypad. It's not normal. I play lots of games, no cracking. And if it does end up cracking, I'll get it fixed

coming out from W810i (white), this is a nice small and light phone! :D

the only bad part is that it uses M2 ! $_$ !!!

I'm new here and would love to hear more about the W580i phone. What mod's people have done (and how to do them) and also how to unlock the phone (I received a code from AT&T but don't know what to do with it.

You might have to turn the phone off, and on again to get it to accept the SIM

The W580i is a great little phone, with my 4GB M2 memory card I can watch full length movies with excellent picture quality.
Just convert a movie with a video converter to 3gp 320x240 and your good to go.
It plays mp4 video but 3gp has a smoother framerate.

And this is only one of the many features this phone has to offer, highly recommended.

the keypad is very bad in my opinion, for action games, and the slide up feature is sometimes quiet stiff, but the sound is great, makes the k800i sound like a radio, lol, the colours are much richer than the k800i aswell, but if i had to choose between the w580i or k800i, i would pick the k800i by far because of the camera, some other letdowns from the w580i are no flash/light 2.0 megapixel camera which a lot of se phones have, and i was a bit dissapointed when i found out that you had to hold the walkman button to swap track in the shake function.....

I bought mine straight from AT&T and if you take a look at it now it looks like I bought it straight from sony. Stock black back housing and white front housing. Debranded and unlocked, custom everything, I love it hahah. By the way I replaced the keypad twice because on both of them all the keys cracked in half.

yh thats the thing when vodafone and orange, t-mobile, etc get hold of these great phones the replce all the sony erricson content with their own branded custom packs, i got my w580i and k800i from vodafone shop and they were both covered in vodafone icons, links ,menus, pictures, etc but i debranded them to the manafactures firmware... whay...
but sadly :( there is a great big vodafone logo on the front of both of them :(
