Hey are you sure it works on any fone with JAVA? Because GPS needs an API that very few fones have.. or maybe tis just uses the network details and they info they give to locate you!

you should also try nav4all, also free, and also available for almost every handset even if it's java based or symbian. nav4all.com/install
and don't forget they work on every phone BUT ONLY IF YOU BUY a GPS RECEIVER or if your phone has an integrated one...

very cool apps, but you need and a gps receiver...
you don`t need gps receiver. You can use it as simple map
Than use google maps :p
With my location you can locate your position allso, but less accurate
