EDGE network.
some people have a problem with this "E" it sometimes don't want go out...I don't know what is the way to repair this...I will try to find that again
try check network menu, and set to gsm if i'm not wrong
If it show 'E' then it stands for activated EDGE service... And if it shows 'G', then it means activated GPRS service....
Yes. But the phone changes the E for the G many times a day. I think that is something related to the mobile service provider...
EDGE or left up corner is stupid!
how do you remove? it?
you can only remove it by selecting GSM only network coverage. it's there to show
you what networks are available E - Edge, G GPRS, H - HSDPA etc. They change when
you're out of range of one of them. My k850i swaps from 3G to "G" GPRS many times a
day when I'm at work, but not when at home.
go to:
Settings > Connectivity > Mobile Networks > GSM/3G/GPRS/EDGE > GSM Only
that will remove its icon from the main screen and it will come back only when u actually connect ur phone to one of those services. e.g. if u open up a wap page and ur network supports edge, an E icon will come up on the corner of the screen when its connected and will go off when ur not using it no more...
hope this helps...
