I've had k750i for almost 1.5 yrs now, and lately my battery loses charge faster than when i bought the phone. It's voltage falls a bit when i use advanced functions of the phone like gprs or media player. After i stop using the phone the voltage rises and battery gains some charge. Is it time for a new battery, and are there any "high capacity" batteries for k750i?

i'm having problems with my phone battery. i'm using w300i phone. everytime i charged my phone about half an hour my phone will give massage 'charging error'. what can i do to solve this problem?? do i need to change the batt or the charger??

Actually, Li-Ion batteries have an average life of about 2 years. It's not because of memory effect so it can't be reversed. I'd say it's time for a new battery.
How much time the charge should last depends on how much you use it and what for. I say it's fine as long as it lasts until the next time you can charge it — I charge it overnight daily.
Charge-discharge cycles don't do any good to Li-Ion batteries, in fact it kinda hurts it to be below 30%. However it helps the calibration, so the accuracy increases and it seems to hold charge better.
Oh, and this life of about 2 years starts from the moment the battery is made at the factory, not the first charge, so try to avoid any new-old-stock or almost-new ones.
you are right, li-oins don't suffer from memory effect, so dischrage-fullcharge doesn't help, i do that all the time.Quote:

you might need to upgrade your phone's firmware, try upgrading using the SE update program if that problem still persists, then you'll have to flash the firmware's GDFS; which is a risky issue - especially if you have little experience with flashing phones.Quote:

Actually i guess is the charge cycle cause as i know Li-Ion can stand up 500 charges then it get started to defect. hmmm 500 charges which means should last 2 years unless u charge more than 1 time a day. Anyway besides that i believe is also part of firmware doing. For example now my W850i (R1KG001) consume more energy compare to the previous firmware. For later firmware i guess the most is 2 and a half days.

My phone battery doesnt cut it at all. In 3 days its flat with general use. so shit
To maintain battery life u need to do battery calibration sometime. When u use the phone, just left the barrety completely empty. Then charge it back in switch off mode until full. Do this in once in 3 or 4 months. And do not overcharge ur phone (leave it charge overnight) coz this will effect battery performance.

My batt life is usually 2-4 days, but past few months it seems like its not lasting as long as before.
I have my phone about 1 Year and half and my battery is still holding so long like at first day when I bought it.

I'd buy a new one too, it's less then 10 USD on ebay, and you don't have to worry about it for at least an other year...
About fully discharging, if I'm not wrong, it's not good for Ion batteries, as it was for metal and litium...
1-2 days means normal battery.
maximum of 4 hours is more than sufficient for charging a battery.
If I was to continuously use my music player and constantly recharge without turning the phone off, would that make my battery life shorten?
i recently got my new k790, i capture like 10 pics a day, with 2 video recordings of around 1 mins on avg. listen to songs for 25mins or so a day, play games for like 20 mins, send lots of smses, like 50-60 sms per day. and browse through opera mini via edge for around 2 hours per day on average. the battery hardly lasts a day, but then again i use my cell sooo much :)
I have W880i. I like the thiny style, I used the music player from afternoon until morning every weekend. This battery life can hang on until 2 days. I love it.:D

My batt life is usually 3-8 days, i have w610i
i got a 3.6 volt Li-Polymer. it holds pretty long. about 4 days on normal use and a little over 16 hours on none stop Walkman 25% volume with java time to time.
charging is not an issue at all. just about an hour from 4% to 100%. an over night charge is over doing it.
i've had the phone with the battery from july 2006.
i used battery-discharge.jar for to get complete discharge.
use it till it gives u a battery low warning........then charge it.

My battery of w850i holds 1-3 or 4days when i don play music or capturin pic!
My w580i lasts me about 4-5 days. I just bought the K660i, so I haven't had time to play with it yet.
k850i a day or 2 maxx no more then 2 days lol
