Anyone have any idea which SE has the loudest speakerphone ???? smartphones not included....
Thanks !
the W900i is pretty damm loud :p
The W900, W550, the W850 imo. And they say the K850 has the loudest and the clearest sound than any other SE phone ever...
humm i think walkman phones are the best!!!
I've heard the W910i has a damn good speaker too. Would be great if K850 has a good speaker :)
It's not w880 anyway
who said that the 910 is loud?
btw, off topic, but when does it come out?
i think the w550 is the loudest
k800 doesn't look so louder for me but at the earphones doesnt seems more louder the w810. the built in speaker i think is realy choppy if u get it at high volume it could sound realy crappy (k800)
Just remember one thing! Mobile phones are not HI-FI electronic components. Therefore they should be regarded as phones and not SUBWOOWERS.
By changing the original sound drivers you might get into trouble, because other drivers are not signed by Sony Ericsson and on the other hand they are not designed to work with K800 speaker hardware specifications.
You should stay with the original ones even if they are not so loud. Do not try to compare the K series (designed for photography) with the W series (designed for music).
Be well!
K750 and W550 are the loudest.... but some K750 offers very low sound.....
k850 the best!
i think that z610 and k610 is the loudest (ihave w900 and z610 and k610)
they are very loud but the quality is not as good as w900 or eny other w series i know
w550i and w300i r the loudest w550i cause it has 2 speakers and the w300i cause it has a big speaker.
Its just that the music player and ringtone volumes are much, much MUCH louder than the speaker phone . So I was thinking that if the speaker phone volume could be increased (ie patch) Iwould not have to worry about damaging the speaker.
I mean to say that the music player volume and ringtones are literally 2'x louder than the speaker phone.
Are there seperate files for the music player and speaker phone volumes ????
No my friend. You can't put the "=" sign betwen speaker volume/power ( as a hardware component) and music/ringtones volume.
If know something about music editing, i have to tell you that in this matter we have to deal with two components: PEAK LEVEL and RMS VOLUME.
The process is called NORMALIZATION.
If you want your music/ringtone files volume to meet the speaker specifications, you have to edit those files using audio editing software (like Adobe Audition, Sound Forge, Gold Wave or even AudioGrabber) in order to normalize the sound level to a specific value (using Peak Level normalization or RMS Level normalization), altering the Sample Rate (from 44kHz to 22kHz or even 16kHz) at the same time.
This way we'll get a sound file more campatible with the phone speaker.
Don't hezitate to use the THANKS button.
Be well!
Darn, not the answer I wanted to hear. :(
In other words all of my sound files mp3's wav's whatever are recorded to loud. I have wave pad that I use to make ringtones and such with that is a very nice free editor. I was just hoping there was a way to get the speakerphone volume louder seperately... Darn guess not.....
Hey ! I could always tell the callers on the other end to yell :):):)
For a standard audio or Hi-Fi component your audio files may be just fine, but mobile phone speakers aren't Hi-Fi devices. Because of this limitation we have to adapt our files to meet the speaker capabilities.
I've said this before: a phone is just a phone.
All the other capabilities are just gadgets implemented for marketing reasons.
It is true that some of them might be useful from time to time, but how much time do we use gadget capabilities?
I'm a HI-FI junkie and i know the difference. If we want high quality pictures or music we have to use dedicated harware and software.
We tend to much to be TRENDY.
w850i has also great loud speaker..
i agree with you djtetei.. we have to use dedicated gadgets for us to be satisfied as users..
k850i? 5mp camera with very loud speaker? that means that phone ownage! maybe its time to upgrade
is w660i loud? i maybe wanna upgrade to it
SE w900 is so loud
hey frends,
In ma view i thnk that the loudest SE 4n is K850, What u say?
i have a k550i flashed to w610i
it works flawlessly !!!
now coming to actual question " Walkman on Kxxx serie ? "
i like walkman... !
but i also like camera of cybershot !!!
Sony Ericsson will lose out to NOKIA if they don't come up with CYBERSHOT WALKMAN
Nokia n73 ME is a great music phone as well as an amazing camera...
with new N series phones.. nokia will beat SE... if SE makes two different line ups like Cybershot and Walkman..
i really hate SE for this !
I wnat the w810i loud drivers,,, any one have them?> thanks
Try THIS!
I hope you'll get the problem solved.
WOW !!! After days and days of reading and trying different programs I finally got my phone volume perfect in every aspect for myself.
I was installing every acoustic file I could find and the phone was not sounding any differnet. I was using Setool Lite to install my zafp files. The thing I did wrong is not zip them all the right way.
Anyway to make a long story short I finally used Far to check and see just what was going on in my phones ifs/setting/acoustic file system and MAN I had a ton of files in there. I had no idea which ones the phone was even using. So with Far I deleted them all and to make a long story short.
Peter's acoustic pack are perfect for me.
Handset volume extremely loud, never have to use more than 4 bars
Speakerphone volume...also very loud...Can use it while driving now its so loud
Walkman player volume....Unreal...sounds better than my home theather system through the headphone now. (hpm70)
Ringtones, also extremely loud.. Can be embarassing at times its so loud.
Even the Java games are alot louder. I will never use all the potential volume normally, byt its nice to have it when you need it in certain situations.
Anyways for anyone interested in trying them out here is the link to them..
They are Zapf files so for those with apf files don't bother trying them
Peter's acoustic V1 - for K800 : Software : Sony Ericsson @ Esato
Gettting back to the topic.. I think my w580i speaker phone is now as lound and probably louder than any SE phone out there.. !!! Workd perfect ofr me :):):)
Cheers Dan
i am very happy wiht the sound of my w580
where can i learn how to install and acustics file like u did
You need to learn how to use Far Manager so you can get into your phones FS=file system
ifs/settings/acoustic.
It has 2 panels and you can just copy your new files that you want to use. You delete the old files from there too... ver1.70 has drag and drop ability right from the Far panel..Go over to the tutorial section and read the tuts about Far....
everytime i try to hook up my phone it says chip id not supported
The K850i is simply for me the best all round camera and loudest speaker(my hearing is weak) on the market, the best camera, excellent battery life & a recognisable GUI. The only thing I would have liked to see was the old centre control (circle) one finger control.
Don't waste time looking anywhere else for any other phone the Sony is fantastic.
you just need to know one thing, a phone speaker has a declared power, proboably about 1W, pushing it over the limit will result in damage of the speaker. anyway phone amplifier has very low voltage to work with, it's only 3.6V. Once you hear chops and cracks it means that the amp is in saturation, and that DC is going through the speaker, causing irreversible damage to the cone and the coil.
I think it is W880 or W850
I'll say its the Sony Ericsson W550i because it has 3 seperate speakers which in theory is stereo and subwoofer.
I agree on Badboy, except for his theory, its mostly high tones coming out of the W550i on highest volume, there is no way u can compare it to having a subwoofer even though it has 3 speakers, but it is verry loud.
Hey, man! You're damn right! But some guys are never satisfied and they do not do their homework properly.
They sometimes believe it is possible to customize a mobile phone just like some proffessionals do with racing stock cars.
They simply ignore the hardware specifications, foolishly I must say, and at the end they will pay the price for their ignorance.
The progress is achieved by tial and error experiments.
SO, LET THEM BE!
i found out this theory, because my dad works with electronics.
when i bought a brand new 5.1 sound system, i amped bass to the max, after a month my woofer started to cause distorsion. it took about 3 hours for me and my dad to mod it so it would even play sound, not to mention full power.
and can you compare cell phone speaker to a thick cone subwoofer. it's 10 times weaker
In a previous post I was talking about this subject and made a joke.
If these guys really want something to enjoy HI-FI sound performace it would be a good ideea to listen to a set of NAUTILUS giants powered by a KRELL amplifier. This way they would understand the difference between a HI-FI dedicated system and a mobile phone speaker.
