no one has found out how to record the sound coming from the radio output yet so its not possible yet. it should be real easy but most likely slow as hell.

The new SE versions have an application for recording FM Radio - but I have no clue of the application name
The new SE's have this application,but you don't know it's name.I think that you make this up.If there was such a program the first thing you would remember is the name!!!:mad:
Maybe something called TrackID, its on the latest walkman phones??? but it only records a sample of the song and sends if off somewhere... then you download/buy the song from web browser... not really sure how it works as i've never bothered trying it...
i think TrackID just samples the type of music that a radio station plays.
TrackID is just a program to know what is the title and the singer of the song. This application take a little bit of the sample sound and then send it into SE server. And then it will open a web browser where we can see the title and singer of the song. But we cannot record the radio.
But i think in Nokia, there is a phone that can record radio,(the one that i know is Ngage), but i dont know, maybe now every nokia phone can record??
maybe it will work in this way:go to record sound,press record and then use bookmanager and go to the radio..can anyone try??i don't have my phone here..

There is a patch that lets you record FM radio using Track ID
motoral have recording facility from its radio
i have read some where that it s possible to have a hybrid of track id to record fm
work in progress in this respect........
if i got this modified application i will share with you guys ....
It is only with mp3 we can record FM if I am correct. If any one have idea please share it with us.

Track ID is an useless program, you cant send your music file which is playing, right at that moment.
R300 and R306 are just "radio phones" they are the first to support FM and AM. but they cannot record from the radio

i came into this thread "JAVA program to record FM radio", thinking it had such a program available. misleading titles are bad.
But it says Request-(Then it is what you read)...
they made a patch to record radio through track id....i dont know how long can you record but is posible....and the recording is saved on the memory stick.....
dude, recording fm is not possible, and lets not talk on track id! its all together different topic.
