USERS of the K310: I have managed to turn a K310 a W200

Today it is another day of new features for the users of K310.

With this conversion they gain the double of mamoria and the camera, and the best thing: WALKMAN! , bony they do not lose any of its functions.

IN ADDITION DESIRE MENU FLASH LITE!

A special gratefulness to my brother who I lend his to me I telephone trusting my.

Necessary tool:

setool2lite_107

Firmwares used:

W200_R4HA014_FS_AMERICA_2_RED52

W200_R4HA014_MAIN_GENERIC_ME_RED52

Melinda_Generic_CDA102737_16_R1A_GENERIC_AMERICA_2

Note: it is necessary to decompress custom to.rar and to pass it to .zip

Procedures:

First that we are going to do he is backup of our GDFS:

We chose the model (k310) and pressed in READ GDFS, one you see finished the process believes in the directory of setool a file .bin. They already have backup made.

We copied the file of restoration within directory REST.

Soon in you case out we loaded the Main and the FS of the W200 and pressed FLASH. Once finished loading the Main and the FS, we removed and we inserted the battery again, we pressed in Clear and in MISC you case out we raised custom (in format ZIP) and give FLASH.

Soon we removed and we put the battery and we ignite the cellular one, we hope that the barrita was loaded of Hopes and to enjoy his k310@w200.

This was made in a K310 CID49 (with firmware of CID52).

i really dont see the point of converting a k310 to a w200...the k310 doesnt even have a memory card slot and with only 15m of built in memory what do you plan on listening to?!

Now..if you think memoria,you write that this conversion double the amount of memory..is that true?

Yes, you really gain the memory. You'll have around 27MB free after the conversion.

You first need to flash your K310 to R4EA031 firm version, and then proceed to the K310@W200 conversion..

NOW HOW DO WE BROWSE IT with Far? we use the same main fake?hmmm

To browse with Far Manager, you still use z550 main fake as before (cause it's still CID49).

How do we upload flash themes with Far? i uploaded to tpa/preset/system/system/desktop/flash and they are there and today but my phone doesn t see them :(

No, to get back to k310 you also need to use a custom file from k310.

To upload flash themes you need two files, the .sfw file, and the theme that will call the flash menu.

You then need to inser the .sfw file to tpa\preset\system\desktop\flash, and the theme to usb\themes.

In this thread: Menús Flash para Resolución 128x160 - Top Sony, there's one .sfw with the theme. Use that one to see if you get how to do it.

Remember that if you get back to k310 you will loose all the things that you gain converting it to W200...

thank you very much only 9 kb :p hm i opened all files saved from FS and i didnt figured out how to remap buttons to k310. the very annoying part is that i can t putvolum down just up :((

so only the big menu is affected by flash. the best idea is to combine your favourite .thm with the source linkin to your favourite flash

we can apply patches as for w200? how do we do it with the setool2? misc files and write script?

First download: Top Sony and extract it to the "REST" subfolder of the "SeTool2" folder.

Then, you can apply the patches as you've said, with setool2, misc files and write script.

Hey all you maniacks i wrote a litle tutorial on how to do this with setool lite and uploadded the whole package i included mediterr firmware and custom by me, my acoustics and a script that frees about 31MB thats all the free space that youl get on a K310@W200. The script includes cda and cxc change so phone can be updated via seus and seus will recognize it as w200 and will upgrade only firmware NOT CID.

This tutorial was written for romanian and international usage.
The tutorial is lunched when you extract the SFX RAR archive.

Can we do this with others firmware? like APAC for example?

It has only been tested with the firmware posted in the thread.
You can test it with that firmware, that it's possible that it will work.
If it doesn't, you can just flash back to your k310.

you can try with any firmware of w200 that you desitre but remember 1 thing fs lang must be same as custom pack

What about music quality & memory storage to store MP3 songs

i think apac custpack and apac fs language also available at here too, but its must buy premium membership first or make post 20x times to download all file at top sony. (Correct Me If I'm Wrong) Thanks in advance.

Can you do this operation with a data cable? :confused:

I have a problem... Far manager doesn't see it!!! And when i used xs++ it shown me that I have a the CID49... It isn't the CID52 :(. And xs++ see my phone as a k310 :(. What should I do? I've flash it with a mediteranean fs... or smthing like that

Yes now as we have converted we cannot use far it will not detect only setool 1.7 and xs.. will help but according to me setool is best we can apply patches delete files etc. so according to me use setool

I succesfully converted the K310 of my friend to W200!It's very cool!:p The phone now has 30MB of memory (I deleted everything!).The menu now is 4x3,something that makes it more convenient.Generally,I liked her new phone,W310,very much!!!!

by the way, you can also make W200 by the same way (only the model in SETool must be k510, not k310), but you'll lost bluetooth.
P.S. SETool is bad for customization, you'd better to use phoneXS 3.1
