If you buy headphones from walkman would the sound quality improve for 790SE?
I think yes because Walkman headphones like HPM-70 HPM-82 etc. are much better than standard K790 headphones.
I have got tow handless kit hpm70, the sound is very beautiful, but plug phone's plug wear out quickly (1 year use in my pocket)
The original HF that come with the phone are not too good for muzic... it's not laud and no bass at all.
There can be 3 ways (that I know ;) ) to solve it:
1. Use 3.5 mm adapter to any other quality HF, but without option to answer the calls.
2. Use iDNA MRH-300 remote control with 3.5 mm adapter to any HF you like, with full control of media player and call answering option.
3. HPM-82, same as MRH-300, but for my opinion, worse sound quality and less comfortable (no joystick and Hold button).
If u use HPM-70 u will here incredible sound. And it looks beautiful. thanks & Good luck.
HPM-70 is the best
My W800 came with the In-Ear headphone. It sounds okay, but i found them very annoying to wear. I replaced them with a pair of High-End sony one. Never use anything else since.

These are the same headphones, but 82 have remote control.

With 3.5mm adapter the real stereo headphones are my favourite, guess you should try Koss porta pro for instance?
JVC Marshmallows (available at pretty much any Best Buy or similar store around), they're around $20 and will sound better than pretty much any of the Walkman headphones. Good 3.5mm headphones can't be beat.

yes, it is a historical problem since k750
i bought walkman headphones, and tried plugging other headphones in, but k800 (k790) has low output. walkman headphones seem to me the best for that phone.
My HPM-82 is working perfectly on my k800, i thinks it is a perfect sound in them and they aren't falling off like the original headphones u get with the phone.
