You can try and use MobyExplorer to remove the files. You have to have it sent to your phone securely for it to work though.
Just use Far manager to access the FileSytem ...once got there you may easily add or remove the stuff u want .Quote:

i dont think there is a way to delete the protected content on phones without FAR or re-flashing it with a de-branded firmware...its easy on Motorolas but its a very different procedure on SEs...
Only by using far plugins.
in mobyexplorer .. go to the file you want to delete, hit Menu -> Properties.. then deselect Read Only.. hit Ok.. now they are unlocked and can be deleted
I have used moby explorer on z520 and z525 and it worked good (deselect read only and be able to delete), but when I tried it on my w300 I was only able to do this with a some but not all files. It seems as if there is a hidden file system because the files I couldn't get rid of do not show up anywhere in mobyexplorer (Yes I have the option to show hidden files). It is anoying because if you set the walkman to play all files, you end up with some predefined ringtones in your playlist. I haven't tried it yet but I think customizing the FS via Far Manager is the only way.
Just copy them where you wish in your phone.
i have entered to properties of the file video dj, and READABLE was checked, so i have unchecked it, and then i deleted the folder.but when i entered again to file manager, it wanst deleted.... why? what have i done wrong?Quote:

Some patch is aviliable for w810 for file manager that you can easy delete every file of your phone...

Unfortunately, MobYEhplorer doesn't really work on some SE phones...
I have tested it on z520i, z550i, k310i and v630...
of these, I was only able too delete the protected files on Z520, the otres zust wouldn't work using this method...
Did it eventually on the other phones, using far manager, must say that on k310i i had too debrand first....
Good luck on freeing u'r phone's memory...
even the delete video dj folder patch is not working!
Haven't tried MobyExplorer on my K508i yet, but have deleted the default read-only games through FAR Manager, but, though they don't exist on the FS, the record about them still exists and I have not found an XML file that holds the description, instead there is a binary one.
Any advices, please?

no way to delete files with simple or basic software , like phone explorer , it just duplicate with () number between , removing them from FS with FS explorer like far manager or other like scripting with setool2lite like

how about the reffering records? I have deleted the games, but they're still present in the Games menu

it's tpa/preset/system/oaf/applist/
you can delete everything you want in tpa/user/ you have folders just search and del what you want or use moby explorer

Using setool lite and using scripts you can delete preinstalled content. Only you should know the path of these files.

The easiest way to do this is to connect your phone using the DCU-60 usb cable and XS++ 3.x
You can use FSX option to browse your phones file system and remove the protected files, this is what i did on my DB2020 W610.
