Flash K750c (chinese) to W800 (also chinese)

hi to everyone...
i have been looking around for a while and i read so many threads in your beautiful forum, but i didnt find my case...

my phone is a K750c CID 36 bought in china a few years ago.

lately it got crazy a bit, once per day i have to restart it coz ringtone, wallpaper and several other thing disappear...

so i decided to try to refresh its firmware with a brand new one =)

i tried the sony update but doesnt work, it doesnt even recognize my phone...

i made a master reset... but nothing changed
so im here for the big step... hehe

i wanna flash it to make it w800 (of coz still chinese version)
and i read somewhere there's some patch to make the w800 flight mode more functional, such use also videos and games... is possible? :a018:

Yes, these files are right, but you can flash a newer version:
W800_R1N035_MAIN_CHINA_CA_RED36

add italian language is very simple, just download w800 R1N035 FS EUROPE_5, then extract FS files, than you can take it.lng and it.t9 from extracted files(tpa/preset/system/language)

than use FAR, put it.lng and it.t9 to you phone language folder(same: tpa/preset/system/language), add word it in allowed_language.txt

then add <allowed-language>it</allowed-language> into costmize.xml(folder: tpa/preset/custom)

then disconnect phone, start and you can use italian(phone language and write language)

my god, so easy? i lived 4 years without italian t9... and it was so easy?
hehe, i should ask it a long ago...

anyway, i should do that after flashing to w800?
and there will be no problem about "memory" or so on, if i add something without remove anything?

Don't worry, it's not a trojan; just disable temporarily Avast and download again.
You should read part 2) Backing up GDFS and part 3) Flashing the firmware of this tutorial:

@liudreak, you should do also step 4 of the tutorial:
4) you will then need to delete the lng.lst and lng.dat files that are also in the tpa/preset/system/language directory. (the phone should rewrite these with the new languages when you restart it)

You said your phone is CID36.
Connect again and post the identify log from XS 3.1!
XS++ 3.2 is a beta(leaked) version. It can brick your phone.

i checked my phone before with another software... anyway my phone is 05W43
and even xs++ says is cid36

xs++ 3.2 can destroy my phone also making backup only? (it still works... im safe so far)

this is xs++ 3.1 complete result (i tried 4 times, always the same)

i downloaded this plugin *********
and i downloaded FarManager170.exe and Far By Macuak Soporte Completo from download section..
i guess im dumb... well.. i know im not good at it.. coz i never did this before..

anyway i put the se plugin folder in far 170 plugin folder..
start far
turn off the phone, remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, put the battery in again and close
push C and keep pushing while connect the cable...
but the phone will turn on... instead of remain black (off) like with xs++ and with sony update..
and i cant find a way to access the phone from FAR...

i tried also with the Far By Macuak Soporte Completo (without add the plugin.. but should have it inside (?))
same result.. when connect it, the phone will turn itself on and i cant fid a way to access the files...

im boring, i know.... but please help me...

What bootscript did you selected? Did you pressed F11>SEPF ?

i didnt before (silly me, i didnt read it anywhere before..) but i tried just now with both far version i said before (on win xp)..

both give me the same error after i select SEPF

Try "GFlash":
- make sure that your battery is fully charged! (At least 85% up)
- Prepare all the correct main and fs files (should be same versions and phone models)
(main red cid36 and fs red cid36)
- Much better if, before you start Gflash that
your phone already turned off and dettached battery.
- Avoid disconnecting the phone while in flashing process!
FLASHING EROM - BROWN CID36 TO RED CID 36 ONLY!
Under the "REPAIR/GDFS/PATCHING" tab,
enter the RED CID36 RAW erom file (make sure it's RAW)
ex. RED_CID36.Erom (download from topsony)
put the battery back in. (do not connect your phone, not yet!)
then click the "REPAIR/GDFS/PATCH" button
you will get this message:

what to do?

What "tx" file ? I gave you the "customize.xml" you must put in TPA/preset/custom(replace). Why did you tried to extract FS? Didn't you find w800_Language_EUROPE_5 in the download section ?

in the guide to add a language, there is a step that says:
"5) you will need to find and edit the allowed_language.txt...." and add "it"
i went to the dowload section and downloaded the file u said and extract IT.lng and IT.T9 and put them in FS/tpa/preset/system/language
deleted lng.lst and lng.dat
and replace the original customize.xml (FS/tpa/preset/custom) with the one you gave me.
then disconnect and restart... but no italian language in the phone nor in sms writing language...

i noticed one thing, in the FS/tpa/preset/system/language there is en.t9 and zs.lng but no en.lng or zs.t9
why italian w800_Language_EUROPE_5 contain 2 italian files? (IT.lng and IT.T9)

then i downloaded W800_R1N035_FS_EUROPE_5_RED36.rar from firmware download section and i tried to extract the files using main2raw (or babe2raw, or gextract) & SEFStool4 (i didnt find any other software for this step... i tried with version 4.4 and 4.7 but didnt work..)
but SEFStool4 give me a fatal error coz cant open file version 23....

i tried to extract with some other software (read3150.exe) but i couldnt do it....

Try to access your phone's FS with XS++. Except that, I have no more ideas :a018:

in some way i did it....

i repeated the tutorial 4 or 5 times, and everytime no italian at all...
last time, i got crazy, i added also hong kong chinese... (would be nice to have both.. hehe)
and from allowed_language.txt and customize.xml i removed 2 languages i will never use from the list....
and added IT and ZH....
close everything, turn on the phone... still nothing...
then i did a MASTER RESET from the menu...
and after it... ITALIAN appeared and works!!! (as SMS language but not as phone language... but is ok) but no hong kong chinese.... i tried the chinese and its the one i had before.. pity!

but is strange, why italian works after the master reset and hong kong chinese doesnt? seems i have to convince my phone to do what i want, not only follow the guide, is it human? ^^

anyway im happy enough, except one thing...
the problem i had in the begin.... still come...
once per day (more or less) the wallpaper and the ringtone will disappear....
and the menu cursor will be a black square...
but now, i guess is an hardware problem.. =)

i will have a try to add again hong kong chinese... and if can, i will post the result...

by the way, should i add the winning steps in the first post? to make a kind of poor "guide" for the same kind of problems i had?

i tried to do it again and again but nothing, no hong kong chinese..
i tried also with taiwan chinese... but still nothing, no taiwan chinese...

i finally have my own idea about it...
chinese from china or from hong kong/taiwan are different... maybe is not possible to use both with the chinese firmware...

just like i read somewhere that is not possible to add chinese to the european firmware
probably is not possible to add a different kind of chinese (different set of characters) to this firmware..

i wonder, maybe is possible to add china chinese to the hong kong firmware? =))

and i wanna make a quick list of the thinkgs i did and the problems i had (and how i solved)
hope is a good idea. ^^

i had a k750c (chinese) CID 36 BROWN and wanted to make it W800c (chinese)

downloaded these files
W800_R1N035_MAIN_CHINA_CA_RED36
W800_R1N035_FS_APAC_1_RED36
W800i_CDA102430_101_R3A_Generic_APAC_1 (custom file)

first step, convert CID BROWN to RED:
i did it following hyperion17 guide:

using "GFlash":
- make sure that your battery is fully charged! (At least 85% up)
- Much better if, before you start Gflash that your phone already turned off and dettached battery.
- Avoid disconnecting the phone while in flashing process!
- FLASHING EROM - BROWN CID36 TO RED CID36 ONLY!
- Start Gflash
- Under the "REPAIR/GDFS/PATCHING" tab,
- enter the RED CID36 RAW erom file (make sure it's RAW)
ex. RED_CID36.Erom (download from topsony or already inside Gflash directory)
- put the battery back in. (do not connect your phone, not yet!)

for the step 4, the custom file should match FS, so i used

but i also wanted to add italian language, so, i followed this guide to do it

with a small difference, when finished to do it... i had to MASTER RESET my phone.
before the master reset, italian language didnt appear, after the reset.. it came =)
anyway, BEFORE MASTER RESET YOUR PHONE, REMEMBER U WILL LOSE EVERYTHING U PUT INSIDE, and also will lose many of the original videos, sounds, games....
so save everything u can, before make a master reset...

and about FAR MANAGER... i had a bad error in the begin... while trying to use the SEFP (plugin for sony)
plugin call error

.....
the plugin will be unloaded!
and when push ok...
internal error....
....
....
...
far manager will be terminated

and finally i understood, computer must have a COM port installed.. or the plugin will not load... so, u must make a fake one.. or a real one.. and in my case, i simply turned on the bluetooth.. and it includes a COM port :a004

after this, finally works!!!

last thing i did, was to add hong kong chinese or taiwan chinese.... but no way to add them.... probably the firmware supports only china's chinese.

to do one more attempt
i downloaded FS files from firmware download section and i tried to extract the files using main2raw (or babe2raw, or gextract) & SEFStool4 (i didnt find any other software for this step... i tried with version 4.4 and 4.7 but didnt work..)

finally i realized i should remove the wap links while flashing.. coz they are very annoying... and a bit complicated to remove them after flashing

to delete them after flashing (coz u didnt do it before) u should enter in your phone using FAR MANAGER and delete these files:
