firmware?

Hey. I have a SE w380a locked to fido:mad: I've been reading the tutorials on flashing my phone. I'm confused on which firmware to get from the download section. I just want to get rid of Fido's crap and their gay name and boutik button on the main screen. I'm also not understanding what the custom packs are.:p

download setool or xs from the download section and show us the read out and post here so that we can guide you which files to use

you need to flash with far+jdflasher and select pnx5230 for the script. you'll find all the above in the download section

it doesn't matter where you live, it is only a language package, but if you want specific language read here : Top Sony - Languages Description and tell us what package you want

If I chose AMERICA_1 US English - Canadian French - Latin American Spanish, do I get a choice for only american english? Or am I gonna have french too:eek: (ha) And the firmwarez will have to different also right? I'm following you but want to make sure I have the right ones. Thanx.

Does anyone know if these are the right files for my phone? I know "riders4sia" said the same as these but i don't live in Europe and the english is diff. there. Thanx:)

you can use whatever you want as long as the fs and custpack match

I got My sony Ericsson w380a unlocked, but in some areas it says emergency calls only..hence it becomes a useless toy..its a fido phone from canada..and i want to use it in India now...i have xs++...and i tried to flash it completely to remove that fuckin:mad: Fido name and that boutik button....and make it ussble....please help..and post links if i have to download something else...:(
