Generate the XML file

A2 CDA File Generator generates a "customize_upgrade.xml" which contains information that tells your phone that it needs to add it to "customize.xml". In this case, it is a CDA change/upgrade. The following steps will tell you how to do this:

1. Open A2 CDA File Generator. If you get an error saying "the program could not be initialized", you will have to install ".NetFramework 2.0" or higher.
2. Select your model.
3. You have three options;
a) Select a region and it will generate a default GENERIC CDA.
b) Leave the region blank and enter a CDA.
c) Click ">>" on the right-hand side and select a CDA from the CDA List. (Many thanks to Wrox)
4. Enter a CDA Revision. (optional)
5. Click "Generate XML File". "customize_upgrade.xml" will be generated.

**CDA LIST EDITING AND UPDATING**

Editing:

1. Click "Edit List".
2. Notepad or the default application for editing ".txt" will launch.
3. When done, save it.

Updating:

1. Click "Update List".
2. Enter a URL where the current selected model's CDA List is located.
3. Click "Update". The Prgram will warn you if a current CDA list exists.
4. A prompt ""*.txt" successfully updated" will show if it downloaded.

WARNING: If incorrect url is entered, an error will show. Click "Continue"
to prevent the program from closing.

Which region of CDA to generate for W760a? which is from Rogers (canada)
but I will flash it with Hong kong firmware, so do I generate CDA from North Ameria region or Asia region?

when i open a2iploader it always come up as a virus and it wont let it open . so how can i open it with out a virus poping up

You don't need a "CDA File Generator". You can easily open this:

in windows notepad, replace XXXX-XXXX with the desired CDA number and save it as "customize_upgrade.xml".

Thanks for all the helpful information!

I have a UK C903 and I'd like to flash it to accept Hong Kong firmware (so it can understand Chinese).

I tried to generate a Hong Kong CDA with CDA Generator (with R1A) however SEUS says there is no software available. The phone accepts Western Europe firmware fine though.

Has anyone had any success with this?
