I was updating my W810i with a official update when the updater said "update failed".
From then on, my W810i does not turn on even after taking out and putting back the battery. What should I do?:(

Sorry. To really tell you what situation I am in right now.
When I press the switch on button, no response. No flickering, nothing on screen. just nothing happens.

did you try holding "c" or cancel button while connecting the usb cable?
Also remember that USB flash drivers have to be installed. If you had Sony Ericsson Update service intalled the flash drivers should also be installed but if you uninstalled Sony Ericsson Update Serivice (SEUS) they would maybe be gone. So install SEUS to make sure the flash drivers are installed.
Also make sure you are holding "c" BEFORE you plug in the phone.

One time i got access and when i tried to backup GDFS, they say cannot. don't know why. They say cannot open GDFS???

use se tool lite v1.1 dont play around with ur gdfs u can make it worse

I have gotten a milestone i think. now my phone starts up and shows the sony ericsson logo. then it moves to a please wait screen with a loading bar. It progresses until a certain point where it stops and does not continue. So now my phone is not working. I tried waiting for hours but the bar doesn't move. So now what?

thats ur problem did u make a gdfs back up ?
I have it but the same GDFS IMEI comes back again. So the error meassage repeates itself. I think i don't have the original backup as when i first started on this "flash", the problem was cannot open GDFS. So i don't have it. By the looks of it, i think i myself can't restore the GDFS or is there still hope?:(:(:(Quote:

if u dont have a back up gdfs it will have to be fix with a se tool /or cruzer box as u have damegd ur gdfs wrighting a diffrnt one to ur phone what ever happens u are going to have to pay to have it fixed iam sorry to tell u :(
(try this go to start>search>(gdfs back up 35906100930404bin ) in ur pc see if it finds any thing
