help...what does it mean by...

ok i have a SE s500i and im going to get it unlocked by professionals since no one in my area can do it.
im going to use this site:

but i have 3 quick questions:

1)what does it mean by "Locked to provider"?
does it want me to put my cell phone PROVIDER, or the provider that it was originally made for (so that i cant use it on my provider, which is AT&T)
if that made sense...

2)Im located in the US, does the fact that this site is "located" in the UK make a difference?

3)has anyone used this site before?

It means what service provider the phone was originally bought for example:AT&T, Rogers, Sprint, etc.

o..well the problem is, i got it off the internet so i have no idea.
is there a way to find out?

It will be unlocked until you reflash it. You have EROM CID53, so, in order to unlock it you must follow this video tutorial: ANYCID patching - Top Sony Forums

AH i need help...

Extract the AnyCID.ZIP. In your phone folder, you should find a zip file which contains executor.b !
As an example you can find the following zip file in w580 directory R8BE001_CXC1123362_GENERIC_LA ! This is the ByPass Package for w580 R8BE001 Firwmare.
Here RBBE001 indicates the main firmware version for which the executor.b works. So you better make sure you have a main firmware for which executor.b is available. If there is no ByPass package for your firmware, then you need to read instructions given later at the end.

whats the bypass package and firmware thing?
are they the same thing?
where do i get it? (i couldnt find it on google)

You'll find "executor.b" into the folder "S500", if you extract the archive named "R8BE001_CXC1123326_GENERIC_LY"(3kb).Fortunate ly, you have R8BE001, otherwise you had to flash the phone first. Also, if you extract the archive named "db2020", you'll get "customize_upgade.xml" and "executor.jar". These three files are the bypass package. I really appreciate your help hyperion17. this whole thing unlocking problem has caused me stress for like a week trying to get all this situated.

You need to download only the MAIN you have in your phone(S500_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED53). You'll use it to make rest file by dragging and dropping it onto "mkrest2.exe" from FAR\plugins\jdflasher\rest folder and also to generate the "quick access.vkp" and finally to generate the unlock patch(with Remove SIM-lock patch generator)

ok shoot.
i did all that.
i got that exact file:
(S500_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED53)

and did everything it told me to,
but im stuck on pat 2:

Now Double Click OFS. Jdflasher will start the file system loader and finally you should enter the phone file system.
Enter tpa and then preset and then finally custom folder.
You should now be in tpa\preset\custom\ folder in the phone file system.
Now copy all the the 3 files to this folder, executor.b, executor.jar, customize_upgrade.xml
Copying is easy, on the right side in Far Manger navigate to plugins\jdflasher\AnyCID and then drag and drop the individual files to the Left Side to the phone in tpa\prest\custom\
Before leaving make sure that you have all the 3 files in the phone file system, i.e On the LEFT hand side in tpa\prest\custom\.
Its now time to exit from file system. To Exit you need to go back to the root. You should on double click ” . . “ until you reach root, then click one more, you will get a message in RED. Its the option to shutdown file system loader, so click OK. Basically it says you should re-insert battery.
Disconnect phone and re-insert battery and start phone.

did everything and copied the 3 files onto the left side of the column and then exited and took out my battery and started the phone.
but it was still locked...what happened?

also, maybe its worth noting that executor.b file was in purple when i was in the far.exe program...

also, just in case this is important,
When i turn my phone on, it says:
"please insert correct Sim card"

and i know its not my sim card. is this a sim lock?
it started when i bought my phone UNLOCKED but did a system update. no one told me if i do that the phone becomes locked again...

you are missing something. you need the supported sim card to start your phone and after that, goto to games and then you''ll see the executor. you should run that

i know its not the sim card itself though.
ive tried a couple of different ones and it says the same thing :/

the one that the phone was locked to or u will have to buy a test sim
if u have se tool post a log up from it and will try to find out what the
opreater is

start setool, select your phone model, click the identify and connect your phone holding c button, now move your crusor to the left and rigth click the log window, you will see copy
