hi i accidentally update my w580i to cid 53 using the soney ericsson update manager...
it locked back to rogers..so i cant use my fido simcard....so i need to unlock it....help please
i cant find any programs that do cid 53...and i dont want to pay anything to unlock..

use FAR with Jdflasher plugin
i tired....it givs some errors....i just need a simple cid 53 compatible program like se tools :D how much time u think they need till they break da cid 53 n make a program like se tools or somting
you c..i never debranded my phone..never came to mind...and i used that unlocked w580i for a few days..then let sony ericsson update manager update it..then turned it on it said..please enter correct sim ( i used fido on a rogers unlocked phone) and now...as soon as i unlock it..make afew calls..and then im gonna debrand it...
so im waiting...for....a unlocking program that unlocks w580i's with cid 53
well u will av 2 w8 4 a long time coz teres no simple program yet tat supports cid 53...only far

Hi I am having exactly the same problem! Have downloadedthe patch and I have SEtools but I see you need FAR and Jdflasher plugin. Can someone please help me get these programs? thanx!

i know how to flash my phone with jdflasher and far...and i made a Remove_SIM_lock_W580_R6BC002_GENERIC.mbn with the anycid patcher..how do i apply the patch
i have flashed my SE K800I and unlocked it,as well as my Z750I with jd flasher..but i get an error with the W580I....O.O..
ALSO..I CANT FLASH IT WITH ANY OTHER FRIM WARE...THE ONLY WAY TO FLASH THE PHONE IS TO USE THE SONY ERICSSON UPDATE TOOL THING..and the phone only has 5 NETWORK LOCKS.

My phone is a W580i with CID53 cert. I tried unlocking my phone with FAR (with JD Flasher plug in) but can't see the executable file after loading the phone with CDA. Neither can I apply the unlock patch. I noticed that this problem only occurs with W580i. Any work around on this or alternative? Thanks.
