C905 Firmware R1DA032 Released

For those who can't wait:

Finally the newest firmware is released in Hong Kong. (R1DA032).

Simply download the customize_upgrade.xml and upload it to your phone to this directory:

TPA->PRESET->CUSTOM.

For peoples who wonder, the CDA/REGION is: 1212-7297

r very true i have only just reflashed it with my se tool box as it was playing up lcd kept cutting out :-((( but changed it to r1ba038 and was fine now r1ba042 came out 26 hours ago (how sad iam i lol ) but dont think its on seus yet ?

It is, just update the CDA and retry seus..

When I performed the OTA update about 10 days ago, my handset reported I had the latest software, but then I tried using the Windows SE Update app. This resulted in an update (1208-0531, R1DA032, 090204) being available. Proceeding that version info was "HONG KONG". Perhaps the update tool reads off previous firmware to determine geographic region. I'm in the US but bought this phone from someone in Sydney who bought it in Hong Kong.

I noticed YouTube application and Smile Shutter on this version but not the other features reported (SMS chat style conversation, HP photo print, WayFinder8, etc). The date of this update was 04FEB, so perhaps these later versions will be more complete.

Thank you. Is there a way to cross-reference the CDA/REGION data with the country? I would like to know what country 1208-0531 (this is what the handset shows in "Software Version") refers to. It shows "HONG KONG" CDF1212-7297 when using the SE update app in Windows.

Also, if I choose to upload the latest firmware to that directory, what's the easiest way to do this?

I just tried updating again through the SE updater, and it's showing that R1DA032 is the latest version.

About HP Photo Print:-> When you are on a picture, click options->then More-> You'll see hp.snapfish.

It's Wayfinder v7 Build 8.x.x..

Thanks, Pampi. The one feature, besides YouTube, that I was really eager to see is the SMS chat conversation, but it doesnt seem to be in this version. What are your thoughts on this? I did go through the "Message" menu thoroughly and did not discover it.

Don't be disappointed, my friend. I now have threaded SMS by de-branding and updating through SEUS. :)

hi when i use cda generic nordic there is no sms chat and phone starts with enter pin, but when i use cda branded (tdc denmark) the phone starts with fly mode or normal and i have the sms chat conversation. how can i have sms chat and remove tdc logo??

Pampi! I'm happy you finally received threaded SMS. I noticed in a previous thread you downgraded your firmware to R1DA34. Did you do this b/c SE wouldnt allow you to update? I have the latest firmware, but it's from experimenting with different CDAs and then using SE to update. I cannot update anymore on SE no matter what I change CDA to, so I'm wondering if maybe I need to downgrade like you did.

Yes you can downgrade with files from the site i used a2 flash with
C905_R1BA038_MAIN_GENERIC_SI_RED52
C905_R1BA038_FS_NORDIC_RED52
and custom files eks. C905_1209-4769_R6A_GENERIC_NORDIC
and the i coud use seus again. Hope that helps.:)
