Need Help for my w850 white blinking screen!!!

somebody help me. please! please! please! got problem to my w850. i turn on my phone the display white screen not blinking. i try to turn off my phone. but still on and vibrate. so i remove my battery, sim, and mem. and try to reflash my phone. now the display white blinking screen. and i try to turn off, still white blinking screen...

Help me! please! please! please! reply me. thanks...

i use Main firmware "W850_R1JG001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn"

and flash system "W850_R1KG001_FS_APAC_RED52.fbn"

The MAIN and the FS aren't match(R1JG001 vs R1KG001). So you need W850_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52 and W850_R1KG001_FS_APAC_RED52 for e.g. and don't forget the custom pack either.

what kind of ribbon?
the flex wire, attach to lcd to board?

yes buddie but u are better to buy both the key pad and flex ribbon as when u pull it away from the key pad it allways breaks the contacks on the key pad
flashing wont solve that problem

Take it to service center, if you don`t know forward.

hey phil! long time no see. haha! anyway, never thought this say would come. but my exact same phone (w850i) suddenly started with this white screen problem also. i ofcourse have tried to reflash it completely(including rewriting the gdfs) but still does the same thing. Difference between my problem and the person who asked the question is the my flash DOESNT have that imie vs gdfs mis-match. Another difference is that sometime the phone screen will be fine and then suddenly it starts with the white screen again. Dont know if this helps, but the phone does seem to operate fine when the screen goes white(well atleast i think) and i have replaced the flex and the lcd already. please advize on the matter. thanks

the read out is all fine and all the flashes are perfect, not a problem at all. um...i didnt replace the keypad. i did think the key pad would affect it. also by key pad, did you mean the top pieces key pad or the bottom(w850 is slide).

yer when i do them at work i allways change top key pad becuse 8 out of 10 time it breaks when u remove the ribbon they are the worse phone to work on with what plp think is the wsod hehe

that probably explains why the screen will work fine untill you move the top slide. anyway, i sent mine into the store cause its still under warrenty and they claim its the software. so i dont know, at long as they get the phone fixed. will keep the top key pad replacement in mind though just incase it isnt repaired. um...is it just the top keypad(the directional pad) i should replace or the whole top piece??

another question, i sent my phone in and they will most proabably reflash my phone. you rate they will flash it to cid53? ...im going to be so peed off if they do that.

by they way, your on like EVERY sony ericsson forum. haha!!!

hey dudes :), i am having th same problem , i just dropped my phone , & noticed it white screen stays , i cant even switch off the phone , untill i remove battery , & try to switch on the phone , it vibrates 2 wice , & stays blinking again , i changed flex no use , not the Top Keypad UI & flashing , let me try that rest too , :(

ah! been way to long. though this thread was clased long ago.
guys, its the top keypad membrane. have it reaplaced and it will all be good. i went through a long procedure and fianlly took philz advice (big up phil) and tried the top keypad and what do you know? working 100%

by the way. had my phone back for quite a while now and its never given the problem again, so yea.
