Need help playing only .mp3 on the music player

Hi,

Using C905, and when I add folder "Mp3" wich only includes .mp3 files to the Now Playing, it plays all types of files like .mp3, .midi and recorded files etc..

Which file and where to edit to give the command to the phone to just play .mp3 files in the Music player?

You can put MIDI files and files you don't want to be played in the "Ringtones" folder.
Music player does not scan this folder!

You can creat a playlist only with the mp3's.

That don't solve the problem. I have the same prob in my phone. I'd like to player play only mp3 files, no others. Maybe some patch can solve that problem?

What when i don't have a folder Ringtones?

create a folder on yr phone in the sounds directory. then open yr music player and create a playlist adding only the files in the mp3 folder you created.

to play them, just open the playlist and play your music. don't use the artist list in music plays.

Audio files stored on the phone in the folder Ringtones won't be included in WALKMAN, but all audio files stored on card will be included, no matter what their path is. Is this a bug? Is there a possibility to fix / change that?

it is not a bug, wehn you start media player, it scan all the playable media in the card

Ummm...., i guess i am not wrong in telling that media player reads all the support files in the card but if walman player does not, i think i am wrong with walkman player.

You are wrong. All audio files stored on MS are shown in WALKMAN! Is there any way to change that?

No I am not. I have .mp3 and .m4a files in the "ringtones" folder of the Memory Stick in my W595 and they are NOT loaded in the walkman player. This is it, this is what happens in my W595, I don't know for other phones...

Apparently it works with C905, too. You do something wrong.

Can I do something with this? I would like to WALKMAN don't scan folder Ringtones on MS. :(

there's no way you can do that except you put it in the phone memory
