i just got a new w580i i've got XS++ and SETool2 lite but neither of them detect my phone i've got the usb flash driver but i cant seem to get it to work (i'm on vista by the way) any help would be good

You have CID53 phone and XS or Setool don't support that CID for now.You can flash only with:

or
Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) - Top Sony Forums
Be carefull.
If you want to unlock, no free software supports cid 53 phones.
Only against payment.

Did you try any other SIM in you phone,because in Setool log you have unlocked phone -

on this phone i need to flash it again because my little brother put a password on the phone and forgot it ive tryed useing Ultimate Unlocker to unlock it but it didn't detect my phone it's not the PUK code just the phone lock
Connect phone with XS++3.1 and in GDFS section you will find button READ(or reset) phone lock,anyway you will find that

u have a cid 53 phone and xs doesnt surport it u will have to use a payed service to get the code
You have to use JDflasher as mentioned earlier since you have a CID53 phone.
JDflasher dosent reset the user code
