W880i - Aisa-Pacific language pack for Traditional Chinese.

Greetings:

My W880i has a version of EUROPE 1 CDA102568/10.

There is no Chinese language choice. How can I change my W880i to Asia-Pacific language pack. So that I can have an option of choosing Tranditional Chinese language?

I went to this link Top Sony Forums

There is so many files in there. I assume that one of them has Traditional Chinese Language choice (i.e. Hong Kong or Taiwan.) But, there is more than one file is Hong Kong and Taiwan.

1) How do I know what file to download?
2) How to install it into my W880i?
3) The site said that here is 1 Euro for download. But, I am in USA. How do I pay 1 Euro for the download?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I then can debranding my phone...and select the Tradition Chinese Language.

1) What firmwares do I use? The instruction said that drag the file to the box. What file should I drag to the box?

Languages Description

Your phone is cid 53 and xs++ doesn`t work on cid53 phones.
Use this - the procedure is the same , but only diference are files ( you use files for w880 ):

Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers)

Based on my reading, I think that I need these two files for my W880i:

1) W880_R8BA024_FS_HONG_KONG_RED53

2) W880_R8BA024_MAIN_HONG_KONG_AI_RED53

Am I heading the right direction?

And you need 1 more file - CUSTPACK for finishing flashing. Find this one Ai_i_CDA102719_15_R4A_Generic_Trade_Hong_Kong in download section-custom files

Yes,you can pay in US dollar and in Euro (you choose which one)

Paypal charged me in US Dollar and converted it into Euro Dollar.

It is a successful download for the below 3 files:

I am excited. I don't think I can sleep tonight until I try it out. Hope that it works for me...or, I might broke my W880i phone tonight.

It did not work. I received an error message ==> Quote: Configuration Error. Please contact your network operator or service centre. Unquote.

The W880i phone shows nothing else...and cannot go anywhere either.

I have to download the "Update Service" softare at Sony Ericsson website. I re-installed the software back to W880 EUROPE 1CDA102568/10. My phone is working again but it is back to pervious software with no language choice for Chinese Language. :confused:

I can't sleep....I re-do the procedure over and over and over again for the past couple hours (Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) - Top Sony Forums). I found my own little problem while doing it. I got it now. I have the Hong Kong language choice I wanted. I am so happy!

Configuration Error. Please contact your network operator or service centre. - mean that you didn't finish flashing with CUSTPACK - did you unpack Ai_i_CDA102719_15_R4A_Generic_Trade_Hong_Kong ? If you have done this and still you get this error,just do last part again (Customization)
