My W850i has a white screen? Help?

Hi,
im new to these forums and have no experience of flashing phones,
but recently my w850i phone that i use for music stopped working.
whenever i turn it on it vibrates once and a white screen comes up and then vibrates again and stay with the white screen about half an hour later it just turns off.
ive tried taking the sim and memory card out the battery i charged it for at least 4 hours it still does the same thing,i connect it to my computer using usb cable and it doesnt do anything,i heard some people fixed it by flashing it and i came to this forum to look for some help.

i need to to know what to download and how to do it(tutorials) sorry if i sound demanding.

if you can help it would be appreciated

First read this 2 tutorials and when you first time connect your phone with XS++,post log from XS here without IMEI number

i followed the tutorial but this keeps coming up.
what am i doing wrong?

At first try to connect your phone to pc and when you get "found new hardware" message install the old usb driver as the tutorial says.

What do i do now?

First of all DO GDFS BACKUP with XS++ and after that you can do flashing with branded firmware (T-MOBILE) or GENERIC (Sony Ericsson).And one other thing- with this
Top Sony - Languages Description choose language that you want in the phone

Okay ive done the backup and it wont let me download the firmware..

i have to earn my priviledges to download the firmware then i should be able to fix it.

yea you do! haha! it sucks i know...but if you think about it, its forces you to read alot of thread so you gain alot of knowledge about flashing before you get to flash your phone...sort of like a safety thing for you incase you do serious damaged to yuor phone.
oh! and if your really think its necessary to EARN your privelages then you can alwasy buy them(look on the homepage, the link is somewhere there to buy privileages). good luck! and DO remember to back up your GDFS.

HI GUYS, i'm also new to this forum and buggerin about with your phone, i've backed up my phone tried to flash it but i might(DEFINATELY) the wrong region code. i'm in south africaany suggestions on the correct ones? it's also a w850.

Ive got The Same problem

Guys, I have the same Issue.. I want to know if i follow this procedure of flashing will I be able to recover my data (phonebook contacts), messages, etc from the phone.
