My sony Ericsson W580i wont turn on.

I know for sure that the battery is ok, because I have new battery. When I push power button, red lights on both sides flash, but not thing happens.

I tried SEtool, and hit INDENTIFY but Control C, and insert the cable, still not thing happen

What's wrong? any body knows?

I think u should flash the main file through xs.

Did you install USB flash drivers ?
Did you tryied to connect with "2 + 5" instead "C" ?

how to master rest our phone when it is not active ...

i too hav the same prob...but i did a mistake .i flashed my mob ( at 20 % battery ) .n now it's dead ..hoping for a better solutions from u folks ..

Find another battery,fully charged and than try connect phone with XS++,if he recognize your phone do full flash with all 3 files (MAIN,FS and CUSTPACK)

If your phone vibrate when you turn on it is possible to have missing display driver. I have a problem like you and when i entered in display drivers folder i saw dispdriver0.dat is missing. Here are the disp drivers:

Read the Thread. He can not turn on his phone. When the display driver is delete the screen is white ;)

Download SETool lite
Now click Unlock/Repar
Connect your phone with 2 and the 5 button (not with c)
The programm work for a moment.

And after this try to turn on you phone :)

Like I said early, the display of my W580 was BLACK, even not a light just how it was unplugged and and I solved problem copying Display driver. But maybe his problem is different. I make a simple suggestion. Cheers!

May be a Damaged GDFS, try using 2+5, reinstall usb drivers, and used a totaly batery charged!!!

New baterys need be charged several times for nice work

I have the same probleme with my z530i (gonna flash to w300), responds on loading and usb-connector; but can't start! What's the problem?
Also, if anyone that has good guide how to install new firmware, plz post!!!
