I need some help with my new K800i - CID53

Phone details:
Bought from UK: - branded to Tesco Mobile
Phone type: Sony Ericsson K800i - CID 53
Service Provider is LOCKED
1) This means I should flash it only?

I have handy the following:
- a guide I found here: Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) - Top Sony Forums
- FAR package, XS++, SeTools
- Firmwares corresponding to my phone: MAIN + FS (R8BF003, Europe 2, RED53)

What I lack:
- custpack
(related details: K800i_CDA102511_183_R2A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2)
2.1) Can someone provide me with this file? I could not find it anywhere on google or 4shared.
2.2) Or is there a way to generate this file?


I tried the following:
As per the guide I mentioned above, when I arrived till the first part, I had 3options:
- babe flash..
- raw flash..
- and a 3rd option which i can't remember right now

3.1) I could not select or change these options either by mouse or keyboard. What's wrong here?
3.2) What option should be chosen?

4) The guide above obviously lack a lot of precise details, is there any other full guide or can you just quickly give me a hint of the details not actually found in the guide?

I hope someone(s) can help please.

custpacks can be found in the download section of TopSony, did you look there?

I believe only FarManager/Jdflasher is the only option for flashing CID53, the tutorial you have should work fine. I've seen another somewhere without the screen shots that I've followed which worked too, but can't find the link.

You need to select "babe" when flashing MAIN and FS.

You can use also HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_200_R2A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2 .

fwiw I used K800i_CDA102511_153_R1A_Generic_Trade_UK_United_Ki ngdom when I did mine.

UPDATED:

=> I have just tried to flash it, but I have a problem.
1) I have not been able to flash the MAIN, see the screenshots below:

I cannot seem to make any choice, whether be it babe image or the others and even the 'flash it' is disabled. I have also tried to rename the file extension to *.mbn, but no progress.
ANy help please?

NOTE:
=> But i have been able to flash the FS and the Custpack. It was fine, when I started my phone, the language changed, it said be patient, then it says "insert correct sim" (in french)

Please can anyone help me with the MAIN flash part?

Hi. Use the XS++ and flash main+fs+cust at the same time, then it will work, read the instruktions in tutorial at topsony home. hav fun :-))))

No XS++ doesn't support CID53 for now,only jdlasher (and try to delete complete jdflasher from computer and than unpack it again,maybe this work)

I'm getting so frustrated with this phone now! It's the first time I switched to a sony ericsson and I think its the worse choice I've made.

The Jd_Flasher folder has the following sub folders:
- 2010_49
- 2020_52
- bin
- rest
- scripts

Now, there's no where I could find the number 53
I think it's logical, without any support for 53, it can't flash the MAIN?
Now, I have seen so much "this and that" on this forum saying CID 53 CAN BE flashed with JD-Flasher, why the hell I can't reproduce the result???

I have tried other forums, so far this forum seems to be the best in terms of reply, now please prove me this forum is the BEST one with EFFECTIVE help/assistance.
WHERE are the ADMINS of this forum who were supposed to provide help? If no help or explanation can be provided, then this forum is failing to its existence! It's just a waste of time for users full of hopes coming here!

NEW UPDATES:
=> I have been able to flash everything on linux using XS++ 4.1, I changed here and there and it worked.

But now I have a new problem:
=> It says "Insert correct SIM card"

So, this means, I have to do "SIM UNLOCK". Any advice or hint how to do this one for my phone? (I'm searching in the meanwhile, but your help could save me time)

"Insert correct SIM card" -> must go to service centre to unlock or your provider should give you unlock code.

Are you sure there's no other way to unlock it myself like the flash part?
