Help me de-brand my K770i on '3'

Can I de-brand my K770i that is on the 3 network in the UK? Also will I be able to unlock it to all networks?

I have been reading the XS++ tutorial but I just wanna check a couple of things before I go ahead.

1. After checking the software info (>*<<*<*) it shows R8AB001, so I downloaded:

K770_R8AB001_FS_T_MOB_INT_A_RED52.fbn
K770_R8AB001_FS_T_MOB_INT_B_RED52.fbn
K770_R8AB001_MAIN_TMOBILE_VI_RED52.mbn

from the downloads section. Which of the fbn files do I use?

2. I have read that I need a custom finalising file. Which one exactly is the correct one for my phone.

Ok-but with this files you can't debrand(your phone will be branded with T-mobile) and there be very nice if you post log from XS++ here

you need generic firmware, not branded firmware. ie t-mobile- vodafone etc.

There isn't one called R8AB001_Main_Generic.

There are only 3 files that start R8AB001 and I already have them all.

Do I have to use R8AB001?

what cid is your phone.

I can't even get the phone drivers to load up.

Why is this happening?

I have tried it on 2 computers now one Vista, one XP.

Shal I install the Sony Ericsson PC Suite?

For now only way to flash your phone is with jdflasherCID53, but you can't unlock your phone for free only if you pay

Because is CID53. You can only use Far and JDflasher to debrand it. If you are from "mediterr" zone, which means: English - Bulgarian - Greek - Macedonian - Romanian - Albanian languages(your nick suggest that ;) ), you must use :
K770_R8BC004_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53
K770_R8BC004_FS_MEDITERR_RED53,
and as a custom file: HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_4_R8A_GENERIC_MEDITERR

R8BC004 firmware update only! No other!

you cannot unlock via patch coz cid53 and flash firmware with jdflasher

I know it how may not be, the CID53 as to patch software.

These days only CID53 DB2020 flashing and FS operations are available for free... But not patching too. For patching you have 2 options:

1. Wait until free CID53 DB2020 patching is released.
2. Use some of the online flashing clients which support CID53 DB2020 unlocking to remove the simlock of your phone - this way is not free... :)

I too want to debrand my k770 but I am interested if there is some other model that I can convert it to...i.e.k750->w800...
k770->...?In which model can I flash it? And is there any problems about that?!

I've been reading all the info beacause i'm trying to unbrand my k700i from TMN Portugal.

So if i right i'll need:

FS -> K770_R8BC004_FS_EUROPE_1_RED53

main -> K770_R8BC004_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53

custom -> HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_10_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_1

I'm red53 and r8bc004.

Plz correct me if i'm wrong.

No you are not wrong-these is correct files for unbranding your phone
