W580i with EROM CID52 now CID53??? HELP??

Ok im not new to flashing but new to the sony ericson and new to this forum so thanks for any help in advance so here goes, using xs++ firstly gave these results when connected:-

now after flashing I got a message saying configeration error please contact your service provider or service, so obviously I'v used the wrong file somwhere. so I thought that running the update service would correct the error but has done nothing other than give me a new problem with the EROM now being CID53! with details as follows:- oh dear

The set has been branded with orange UK and all I wanted was to debrand. Can anyone help, Please?

Since you upgraded to CID53, you can't unlock for free; you can only debrand using FAR and JDFlasher.

Well unlock is not important but how do I restore the phone so it can work again?

ok I'v downed the jar software and going to spend some time learning it before I take the plunge into the rabbit hole lol. any pointers and help would be greatly apprecieated. also dos any one know ehat the correct files are that I should use, I payed with p.pal so no problem downing them off the site, thanks again!

Ok thanks for the link and if I'd read it first I woulden have made the last post, but any way I'v flashed the phone but still when it turnes on it gives a "configeration error please contact service provider or service" I have checked the files I'm using and to the best of my abillity they seem correct. I have used the procedure to flash a second time but still I get the configeration error I'm lost any ideas hyperion?

Did you copy the right custom file into "tpa/preset/custom " folder from your phone?

W580_R8BE001_MAIN_ORANGE_LA_RED53.mbn

W580_R8BE001_FS_ORANGE_GEN_RED53.fbn

W580i_CDA102774_18_R5A_Orange_United_Kingdom.zip
Go easy on me I'm pretty new to sony's. Usualy do nokias and the like but starting to like the new sony's

Third file are custpack

Yes I realise its a custome pack but are the three files that i'v used correct, what info do I need to post for you guy's to check if if I'v got the right ones?:confused:

Yes this 3 files are OK,but with this files you don't debrand your phone to debrand you need this files:

Well thanks for that I need to wait till tomorow as I'v reacked my limit for today, I'll try the flash with them.

Just thinking-if the files I'm using are correct for the flash then why to I still get the configeration error when I turn it on after flash. have I now got a brick?

No - configuration error come when you don't finalize flashing with custpack

Ok I'v reflashed using far and the debranded files above but I still get the sam configeration error when I turn the phone on, I followed all the instructions in THIS POST other than using the flashing lights bit at the end, what can I do to solve this? any ideas ?

To debrand must use these flash files:

W580_R8BE001_FS_EUROPE_5_RED53
HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_14_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_5
W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED53

I think its a brick now it wont switch on or anything else, something happened during the flash, when I connect to far it now says:- " ERROR OpenPlugin<connecttophone<getcid<cant find device info in xml" What can I do now? I think i'v bricked it!

Any one know what I can do now??

I'm not sure, but I've heard of the 2+5 method. You might want to look that up.
