Wow....damn ><;; isn't that a bit overkill on a cellphone o.o and what happened to 6 and 7 mega pixels? O__o
well..that's too much for a cellphone.. but i'm sure it will have some better cpu and ram, and surely more graphics memory. it will be a monster, we'll not need to buy a camera! ;) i'm gonna buy it when it comes on the market
Thats not bad for a phone... Assuming Sony is still using CMOS controlled cameras, then they are just about catching up to what alot of the Japanese phones can do since many of the cameras in the Japanese phones use CCD cameras which allow them to be comparable to digital camera quality and not the CMOS controlled cameras.

imho it's stupid add 8mpx to a cellphone. cmos sensor it's just too small, and as the result, you'll have heavy noise and overall bad picture quality. why s-e won't add optical zoom like in japan phones?
but.. how is the quality of the pictures?
8 MP doesnt say something about the quality... compare my 5MP mobile phone camera with the 5MP digtal camera.. and there is a quite big difference.

The Sony Ericsson C905 measures 104 x 49 x 19.5mm, which makes it rather thick as you would notice on the photos. Weighing at 136g.

we better concentrate on optical zoom, not the digital zoom, where it looses clearity in digital zoom, 5x optical zoom is the best human can recoznise for cristal clear, for a camera phone.
Cool ! 8mp cam, GPS and wifi support ! A good choice for a new cyber-shot generation ! :D

does this phone have a option to rotate the pictures when you rotate the phone but 4 rotations not only 2 rotations like in the k850i.

I don't know about you guys but don't you guys find it kinda annoying how slow High Pixel Camera phones process the picture? I mean 5 seconds to finish taking once picture...you can miss out a lot.

Google c905 sample shots and lowdown and click the first link for C905 Camera Review (though only prototype C905 used). Smart Contrast looks like an interesting feature, most likely a toned down version of Sony's DRO technology in Cybershot digicams.
