You can use the many guides which are stickied to the forum about how to use SE Tool and XS++.
Firmware is in Download Area, but now you can't download firmware because Download Area is curently disabled.

You can also use Sony Ericsson Update Service to update phone's firmware, but it will upgrade phone to CID 53.
Depends...newest version is R8BC004 but it is branded T-Mobile. Newest GENERIC is R8BA024. Hope this helps. I have got the R8BA024 on the same phone and it works good
upgrade it to w610 r6bc002 its the mos moddable version plus u get a new phone with same camera but walkman 2.0. but one bad thing is you cant open camer with camera lens :(
Hey I was tying to flash my k550 but I couldnt do it.But I cannot create the flash, I created the patch and also downloaded the firmware but I cannot run the FLASH step. Is there someone who can help me on this ? ? ? ? PLZ ITS URGENT THX

First you connect your phone with pc and with XS++ read phone CID , and than will talkQuote:

The problem...? your phone is CID51 and it must be CID52Quote:

Thx for that. Look, I just Connected to the xs++ and basically seems just like already upgrade my cid to 52, but right know I cannot even turn on my cell, Im affraid that I damaged it for ever. And i tried to run again the xs++ but does not detect it. What else can I do?
By the way, does anybody has the MAIN and FS for my k550i. itīs a CID51 and article: r1jd001. Or if you know where can I download the correct, exact and not corrupted files, plz let me know as soon as possible. thx

Hi, I just tried to connect my phone to setool and to xs++ but didnt work, it seems just like the usb is not being detected and I uninstall the gordons gate and install it again but still didnt work. I guess that my phone is dead already and im affraid of that.
By the way, I didnt understand what you told about "mod it", man I guess that I screw up my phone ! ! ! ! If thereīs anyway that I can get it back to life ? ? ? PLZ HELP!!!
I tried yesterday to run a script to turn it with CID52 I it work, But now i cannot do anything with it ? ? ? Do you think that I damaged the software and it wont work for ever ? ? ? I tried to download the software but I didnt find any place.
