Best way to go about unlocking K800i

Hey Folks

To cut a long story short I managed to unlock my K800i and then lock it again by using the SE update software "crys" so its CID 53 now. It now only works with the original network it was set to which is 3 :(

Im new to the world of unlocking mobiles but ive seen a few sites that say you can download some software and buy credits and unlock it using the USB cable that comes with the phone. Its this correct? and if so what would be the most cost effective and best option to go for? ie reputable sites etc..any help or advice appreciated.

CID 53 -> cann't unlock via patch!

Could I get it unlocked in a shop? I contacted an ebay seller and explained the situation "in full" and they said they could unlock it. It was a reputable sellar too over 2000 transactions and 100% feedback. How would they do it?

Hey Gyz please Help.

I want to unlock my k800i to all sim cards. After I updated the phone with sony Ericsson Update Service. So when I insert a simcard it says "INSERT CORRECT SIMCARD".

What should I do?

I am pennyless and pretty young. My dad just got me the phone.

If I wont be able to use it He is gonna kill me.

Please Help. Any trick / Tips.

Check this thread: Remove SIM-lock patch generator. But I think SEUS upgraded the EROM CID to 53, so probably you cannot unlock your phone for free.

Ive been out to get get a few quotes from places that unlock phones that are CID53, the most most expensive was £30.00 and the cheapest being £15, I was going to go for the £15 option but they said it would take until monday and I due to work would not be able to pick it up until next saturday and did not want to wait.

What I am more interested in is how they actually go about unlocking CID53 Ive spent ages searching the net for ways to unlock CID53 the only thing ive found is remote unlocking cheapest £30 (no guarantee's this will work). My question is what are the phone shop doing? how do they do it? That is what I am interested in.

With no knowledge of unlocking I unlocked my phone when it was CID52, using simlockpatchgen and setools and a guide. So I dont understand what it actually did to unlock my phone only that I had new menus and any sim card would work at the end Can someone explain what actually removed the lock from the phone? or point me to where I could read about this.

One last question :P

Can I not follow the same guide using these files? or does SEtools not support CId53?

If you have that files you can work in jdflasher! And you can unlock your phone!

If thats the case I will download Far Manager and JDFlasher and somehow try to figure out how to do it :P. I would rather learn and do it myself. Any tutorials for JD Flasher?

I found the CID53 main and FS files for my phone at this site, its 2 euros to download them and payment via paypal so should be safe if anyone else needs them...go to downloads for a full list and find the ones you need..

jdflasher can only flash and browse the FS of DB2020 CID53 phones. So it cannot unlock the DB2020 CID53 phones. There is no free solution at the moment...
