Extracting the FileSystem

Here's how.

You need...

- Firmware (FS, You can download it from the downloading sections)
- main2raw.exe
- SEFStool4.exe
- cmd.exe

(main2raw.exe, SEFStool4.exe are made by Darkmen)

Download the Application


Step 1

Drag the .fbn to main2raw.exe. When it converted, press Enter and the file appear as .raw.

Step 2

Note: It will not work, if you drag .raw to SEFStool4.exe

Try to rename .raw to shorter name (i.e W580_R6BC002_FS_AMERICA_1_RED52.raw to W580.raw).

Open cmd.exe, and type sefstool4.exe <filename>.raw (i.e sefstool4.exe w580i.raw)

Step 3

You're done!

Press Enter to exit the cmd.exe

Note: This tutorial sometimes don't work with different computer.

It's not working for me. When I run "cmd.exe" it shows me this error:

I'm using Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

Problem with "cmd.exe" is solved. If you have Windows XP just copy the "cmd.exe" from C:\WINDOWS\system32\ instead of extracting the one from archive. The "cmd.exe" in archive is from Windows Vista. :) Now I have another problem. When I start the proccess with "sefstool4.exe" it displays this error:

works perfectly for me... you could also start cmd from start->run
tested with w200 fs

or Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

That's work FOr Fs w890i..,OR u have sefstool4 main2raw newer..!

There is a DB3150 FileSystem Extractor. I have tested with K850_R1CA037_FS_CENTRAL-EUROPE_RED52.fbn
And extracts perfectly.

Just drag the firmware that you want to extract into the .exe file and it will start extracting itself

i tried this one and good, but i think it can extract only 52. Do you have extractor for 53 FS?

Do you need a DB2020 CID53 FS Extractor or a DB3150 CID53 FS Extractor

You can extract DB2020 CID53 FS with the extracting guide that jasmin has given on the first post.
I tried to extract this file with that guide and works perfectly:W580_R8BE001_FS_EUROPE_2_RED53

I've done a batch file for automatic extraction of entire FS from FBN or BIN firmware file. It use babe2raw and sefstool4. Just double click on the bat file, no more. Instructions into archive.

Yes you can, depending on which phone you have. If your phone is supported you can extract it with SeTool2 Lite.

i have a problem with sefstool4.exe when try to extract W660_R6AD001_FS_APAC_RED52.fbn. I have W660.raw but can't extract it. How can I fix it?

yes, it can extract cid 53 firmware, i extracted my k770 firmware, but some firmwares are protected and you can't extract those firmwares

My k810i with erom cid 53 is not suported by xs++ v3.1

extracting ur fs is not dangerous because ur not extracting it frm the phone.....ur extracting it from ur fs file that u flash in ur phone....see the tutorial and u will understand beter

ok but if i extract it i can put in flash themes... and the others or is just for extracting?

This is just for extracting and with this we can easly get original files for mooding or (if something goes wrong) put back original instead mooded , so our phones can normaly work.

Just follow steps from 1 post and use tools from same post

I have replaced the language files and now want to make it again .fbn file

u can' remake it, instead upload the language to your phone using setool or jdflasher

Is there any software that will extract files for the C905?
