[SOLVED] setool2lite v1.11 Trojan horse
Hi,has anyone else experienced AVG reporting ''Trojan horse Generic_c.ZOC'' when attempting to open setool2lite v1.11
I tried to open the program this morning and got a virus warning so moved the file to the virus vault as it stated that it could not be healed,i then downloaded setool2lite v1.11 again and scanned it with AVG before extracting it only to be told that it contained the same virus.
I have tried to google it but all i found was a german site where a member had reported the same problem this afternoon,he was also using AVG.
If anyone else has been experiencing the same or knows of a fix i would be very grateful.
Thanks.

I can however download setool2lite v1.10 and no virus is found but if i try to download the upgrade from v1.10 to v1.11 the virus immediately appears again.
I have only started to experience this problem over the last couple of days and i am wondering if perhaps something in one of the AVG updates is mistaking something in the setool2lite as a virus as the software is used for bypassing the security when flashing/unlocking phones.
If anyone can suggest a solution for this issue apart from disabling AVG i would be very grateful.
Thanks.

I use Nod 32 and I don`t have any problems.
Have a nice day
Re: setool2lite v1.11 Trojan horse
Yes @jasmin no problems with NOD32, but there is 1 little problem with NOD-few days ago I download Setool2lite 1.11 and NOD "found" virus and terminate download, I disable NOD-download Setool and now downloaded Setool (when is started for using) doesn't anymore recognized like virus.

Hi seamonkey,AVG also terminates the setool2lite 1.11 as soon as it finds the virus but i have not attempted to disable AVG before downloading setool perhaps i should try and see if it will work the same as it has for you with NOD32
I think the problem is that some antivirus softwares are mistaking one of the patches in the setool files as a virus.
