Re: Debranding?? I dont know
without seeing what you mean by "the flammin Tesco (02) brand across the screen", hard to tell.
Assuming you know what you are talking about, you didn't do the debranding properly.
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
lol
It has the brand name. Like when you have an orange phone it has orange on the main screen, as if to remind you what network your on.

Sorry for the quality but you get the gist. You can clearly see Tesco.
How do i get rid of the network name?
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
But i hasten to add i do not have any orange features installed on this phone, as it was orange locked before. Even though when using setools it still says its looked it doesnt have any orange features and takes any sim so i guess the debranding went good except for this glitch?

It's all ok... "TESCO" is the operator logo of network which the sim is connected at the moment.
Seetool show you LOCKED because the phon is patch unlocked, not full unlocked, but this is normal
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
You are on the "TESCO" network, therefore it shows TESCO. Is this your 1st mobile phone?
Debranding remove any customized branding, like startup pictures with the network logo, etc.
Unlocking is the ability to use any SIM card.
Debranding and Unlocking are 2 different and independent tasks.
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
Hi No this isnt my first mobile phone!
I just get confused easily!!!
No i just wanted to know if everything was ok really and How do i get rid of the network name then. There must be a simple way to edit some lines or something to stop the sim/network dictating to the phone to show the network name all over my lovely flash wallpaper! :)
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
I seem to recall in order to do that you need to change layout.xml
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
the debrand will only remove software that your existing service provider install on the phone. TESCO word is the logo on the network that you are connected to. thx
Re: Debranding?? I dont know
I do not think it is possible to remove your mobile network name.
