xss++ v3 is faster in flashing, than its predessors.
please, include how to upload cutpack in xss++ which is in rar form, because most fail to upload cust pack, because when u extract rar file of xss u find xss and no tpa if u see in view option, is it there we need to extract tpa of necessary one.
order of flashing may be followed like
1)fs flashing,
2)customization flashing
3)main firmware flashing, this way xss++ woks in a better way.
Hey, thanks for a great guide. I do have a problem however, and I'm wondering if anyone could help.
My dads Z610i got a WSOD and I decided to help him fix it, so I followed this guide and first uppgraded to CID52, then reflashed the phone using the following files:
Z610_R1KH001_MAIN_GENERIC_MY_RED52.mbn
Z610_R1KH001_FS_EUROPE_4_RED52.fbn
HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_13_R5A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4
This seems to have worked just fine, and the phone starts up without a problem and defaults to Swedish like I actually wanted it to. However, it now tells me to "insert the correct SIM". My dad uses the same operator I do (Swedish company called Halebop), so there shouldn't be a lock in there.
What could have happened? Could the reflashing have brought back a network lock that had been removed before? The phone is branded as "3" (another carrier), but had been working fine. If this isn't the case, what else could it be? My SIM-card works fine in my phone.
If you update yor phone with seus, and your phone whos unlocked SEUS has lock your phone.
I only used XS++ (V31).

1. Yes, there were some issues with W550. They should have vanished since 2.2. I tested it with W550 and was successful. You can use Se Tool lite if an error occurs.
2. A fullflash conists of MAIN, F(ile)S(ystem) and Custpack.
I actually wanted to know where can one get the FS file from, cause i could'nt find it in the downloads section either!

You don't need to do anything. .bin, .fbn and .mbn are supported. Just put them in the correct space.
i followed the procedure given with my W550.. the MAIN and FS flash succesfully but at the customization part the XS++ stays stuck at "activating file system"

usually xs++ gets stuck if the file you flash are corrupted... try to use a different file or other generic files.... or better yet use SEtool2lite... this happened to me before also... as long as your phone is detected by XS++ i think everything is OK....
But it says FS and MAIN flash succesful and the custpack is the one in XS++ it self.. so is it still possible that the FS MAIN files are corrupt?
Because the Filesystem needs to get activated. When the FS is corrupt XS++ can't activate it. I'm not sure if that's the problem.
Just follow semaj's advices.

i have a w800 with red36 rom which i flashed with firmware from topsony:
W800_R1NA005_FS_EUROPE_1_RED36.fbn
W800_R1NA005_MAIN_EU_1_CA_RED36.mbn
and customized with europe1.
Problem is when turning the phone i only get the usual vibration and a white screen. I've already tried to flash my gdfs backup and, despite being successful, it failed on blocks:

Yes, it supports the V630i... you can check the XS++ help file... i forgot where i download it but you can search... there is a list of supported phones... apparently the supported phone list is not that updated... my phone is k550i and xs++ works perfectly, but it is not in the list... dont know why?Quote:
