I would just unbrand. I used the DRM packager for a while, but it's a hassle. Unbranding gives you other goodies like flash menus, as well. I've warranty'd my phone through Rogers after unbranding and they didn't care (it was for cracked keys... they cracked again, and I'm not going to bother this time).
can use neromix to cut mp3s into less than 700kb or 30 sec. this will work on the unbranded phones
have a rogers w580i and i was unable to set full mp3's as ringtones.
debranding solved this problem.
