yeah the phones off..no sim card in it,im gonna clean the gold pins on the phone now,try anyway its hard to get into to clean it..small...and i took the battery out
give them a clean with some thing dry ie old tooth brush

Did you checked "Bypass DB2020 security" when you applyied quick access patch? Also, did you checked "Use quick access patch" when you applyied unlock patch?
i do not have those options in my software!!!!! simlock patch 2.2; setools2lt_cid50_befega[1] ,the name of the folder where was extracted.
i can not uncheck bypass DB2020 Security, or quickacces patch ,because i do not have them as my options. i am usin g the versions of the software prezented along tha tutorial , of the begining of the topic.

I don't know if this has been posted before and disappeared into the bottom of the forum somewhere, but i have used ultimate unlocker to generate codes for my w910i but i am unable to enter them, I has tried < * * < and nothing happens, then i tried >*<<*<* and i have the service menu up with the option of simlock but it is unselectable, can anyone shed some light on this?

try it with a working sim card in it and i thought D-Ultimate Unlocker unlocks stright away and then the codes are for relock

When I put the vkp file and click write script it says "embedded flashloader not responds".

i think you k530 is a db2020 platform phone, you need to apply quick access first and try again, there might me corrupt software, redownload setool2 v1.11 from Top Sony download area and try again, here is a tuturial on how to apply vkpQuote:
