ive applied everything as you said to the letter using R4EA031 CID49, everything seems to work perfectly until applying the patch saying "some patch values differ" (click yes or no => yes), then im at the last stage of the tutorial thinking "hooray" cos my phone's supposed to be unlocked. i put the sim in and it asks for correct sim. any idea why this might happen?
Hello mates.. Sorry for not posting in two days now. I did like seamonkey said and tried on other ports.. but then an error box came up about a wdfcoinstaller01005 drive.
I tried to reinstall that drive but the wizard wont find it. even though that i already have installed it before. i am kinda lost now...any hints how to make it work would be extremely great full.

Your unlock patch seems to be wrong - so connect again to Setool,select Quick access and in misc put that patch again and when Setool ask to press YES or NO hit again YES - that should delete patch from phone.Download Simlock patch generator and with your main generate unlock patch for your firmwareQuote:

Hello again. I read the tutorial USB Flash Driver Installation - Guide - Top Sony Forums And i have done everything that its says.. I even try to manually install the drive to my Windows/system32/drivers folder.. But it donīt help.
Is there a way maybe to uninstall the drivers and then reinstall it again.. i already tried to manuelly delete them from the folder.. But then as fast as i connect the phone, the drivers reappear in that folder. :S. and then a error box comes up and says something about a driver called :wdfcoinstaller01005 must be installed. Thanks very much for this seamonkey. I bought the credit and the phone seems to be unlocked but now, when I switch the phone on with my SIM card in it I get a message saying "configuration error, please contact your network operator or service centre".
Any ideas as to what I have done wrong?
The custom pack is missing. Please post an identify log using SEtool2 Lite or XS++ and we will tell you what custom pack you need.

Further to the above post, as I have only just managed to unlock the phone (thanks to this forum's help), will it relock again if I add a custom pack?
If you unlock with Ultimate Unlocker - NO it will not be relocked after flashing, and 1 more thing - did you have crossflashed K800->K810 ?
As you may have guessed I am new to all of this. I followed the instructions in another thread which seemed to offer what I was trying to do which was get rid of a load of Asian Orange menus that appeared to be in Hindi.
I think the instructions did say that the phone would upgrade to K810.
Yes, I did unlock it with Ultimate Unlocker - very quickly and easily if I might say so.
Than you need this CUSTPACK for K810 -
HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_11_R6A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2 and you can find them in download section - custom files - K810

First of all unzip the custom package. Then follow the Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) tutorial from step 9 to step 12.

I am sorry if I am doing something stupid, but I have looked at loads of threads and tutorials and just seem to be going round in circles, apart from the phone is now unlocked which is great. I just need to get it to work!
You need to change complete firmware,because that FS is for branded phones and I recomend this:
MAIN:K810_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_SM_RED53
FS:K810_R8BA024_FS_EUROPE_2_RED53 and that
CUSTPACK: HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_11_R6A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2 (you already have that)
Thanks for this, but I seem to be no further forward.
I flashed Main FS and Cusrpack as you suggested using Far Manager with JD Flasher plugin, following the instructions in the "Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers)" thread, but I still get the confirguration error message.
The phone was originally locked to 3 in the UK and I need to use it in Cyprus with the Cyta network which uses Vodafone.
What else should/could I be checking (other than my sanity)?
Maybe,you need convert back to K800,but wait for someone alse-maybe he had better idea how to solve that problem.Usually custpack solve that error and I never had that kind of problem before.
What you do after you upload custpack to phone? Did you go to ".." and double click on that(on the left side jdflasher) to close it ?

You need to flash again with all 3 files ,but this time for K800 and choose newest (you have this K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED53
K800_R8BF003_FS_EUROPE_2_RED53 and
HB1-06_Generic_CDA102568_11_R4A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2

Hi again. I just wanted to say to you all thanks for all the help. trying to help me unlocking a friends sons phone.. But i tell you, its so darn hard and difficult so i finally have to admit that i have to give up now.I dont get the the semc usb drivers to work and of course then its impossible to unlock the phone. :(

hey simox. Thanks for those encouraging words. i have read the usb flash driver installation guide.. But step 3a to 7 is for vista.. and i have xp pro.. i but i saw that on the device manager.. under usb flash there was a explanation mark (!) on one of the usb.. i then tried to update it like it says on the guide.. But it says that i allready have the newest usb driver installed and that it wont install . So you see. im rather confused.
This is the exact word the wizard says.. The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware then the software you currently have installed...choose what you want to do

This is the problem. There is something wrong with driver. I will write the steps you need to do. The only problem is that I don't have English XP installed so the denominations will not be exact, but I hope you will understand.Quote:

6. Press the Own disk... (or something like that), in opening window press the Browse... button, and select the ggsemc.inf(in our example this will be on C:\FlashDriver\ggsemc.inf path), and press the Open, then the OK, and then the Next buttons.
7. Wait a little to install Windows the driver, and finally press the Done(or Finish etc) button.
8. Unplug the USB cable, remove the battery and then put it back, and try to connect it to SETool2 Lite or XS++.
Now it should work. Waiting your feedback...

Press STOP ,because Setool must end this long time ago.Did you make your own QA patch with main that you have ?Did that main same like you have in phone - if isn't you first must do full flash with MAIN,FS and CUSTPACK and after that you can apply QA patchQuote:
