Patching CID53 (DB2020) and any CID (DB2010,DB2012)

PLEASE MAKE THIS TUTORIAL MORE NOOB FRIENDLY!!

I have a s500i CID53 which i want to unbrand and unlock and for the knowledgable user im sure this is a great tutorial but im a total noob and cant understand most of the instructions, for example:

1. With your MAIN make rest files with mkrest2 (you find him in /Far/Plugins/jdflasher/rest/mkrest2)


= DONE

2. With same MAIN create QA patch with qamaker from Setool2lite


= DONE

3. Unpack anycid.rar and find your phone model


= DONE

4. But first copy qa2020.xml in /Far/Plugins/jdflasher/scripts/


= "but first copy"? you said unpack anycid.rar first, anyway... do you mean copy qa2020.xml from the extracted anycid.rar and paste into /Far/Plugins/jdflasher/scripts/ ?


5. Unpack DB2020.zip (you will get folder /tpa/preset/custom/ and inside you have customize_upgrade.xml and executor.jar
6. Unpack .zip archiv for your firmware(or match firmware with one in anycid- but for your phone model).Here you have executor.b
7. Upload this 3 files(customize_upgrade,executor.jar and executor.b) in /tpa/preset/custom/ with jdflasher


= Upload files to where? phone? How? This whole TUT tells you what to do but for a noob, it doesnt tell you how to do it



Could somebody please explain step by step in "noob friendly" terms exactly where/which directorys all these unpacked files go to for example:

copy files from anycid\db2020\tpa\preset\custom

and paste into \Far with JDflasher 28.5.2008 CID53\Far\directorynamehere\


and please explain in "noob friendly" terms exactly how to copy/upload files using JDflasher

I've downloaded all the files and have my phones model CID53 MAIN and FS and ive been trying to work this out for days now and still no joy so any help would be greatly appreciated

at 7. you upload the files at path /tpa/preset/custom/ after you choose ofs when enter in just da flasher.

Now my question :D :
I have followed this tutorial on 2 phones: w580i red CID52 and K800i red CID53. On w580i worked like a charm and now the phone is unbranded and unlocked, but on K800i when I go to file manager\games I can't find the executor to run it. Tried a few times same steps from tutorial, but no success. Is there an issue with the Far Manager at this moment and can't handle the CID53?


LE: also I can't find any software that can generate the unlock sim patch from the MAIN fw file for CID53.

You could debrand/unlock a w580 with CID52 easier, with Setool2Lite. You suppose to use Far + JDFlasher only for a CID53 phone. Search for SIM-Lock Patch Generator v2.2.

I tried on w580 to see if the procedure works, because I tried first in K800i with CID53 and did not worked. Now that I'm convinced, I must find where is the problem ok K800i.
Ok, founded the SIM-Lock Patch Generator v2.2 and generated the .vpk file.
Now what about the thing that I can't find the executor in the game to run it? Without this step I can't go to bflash to upload the .rest file, .vpk file and other patch's that I want.

I'm trying to unlock my W880i. I'm stuck at the point of uploading executor.b, executor.jar and customize_upgrade.xml.

Using JDFlasher, after selecting Alt+F1, just da..., jump into..., holding down 2 (holding down C did not work for my model W880i) attached the USB cable, selecting osflash and navigating to tpa/preset/custom. Then copied the above mentioned 3 files into the custom directory.

I cannot turn on the phone when it is (I checked, just to be sure) still connected to JDFlasher. I quit JDF, turn on the phone and go to the Games folder using the MyFiles option on the menu.

The files I copied are not there. I searched all folders, pics, video, applications, web pages, but in vain.

I have tried this plenty of times, but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? Please help me.

One other thing. My handset is RED CID53, W880i, R8BA024_VODAFONE_AI firmware in it. I have selected W880_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_AI_RED53 as the firmware to be loaded. Is that OK?

Can anyone tell why the executor game does not show in Games after we start the phone?
After I copy the needed files as said in tutorial and start the phone, I can't find the game to run it.
Again, the phone is a K800i RED CID53.

Anyone have any idea why executor wont run on my phone? It just says "Operation Failed". My phone is k770i CID53 R8AB001 Hutch
FIrst I flashed K770_R8AB001_MAIN_HUTCHISON_HK_VI_RED53 and then uploaded the three files into my phone. They show up as they should but nothing but the error message comes up when I try to run it.
Any help would be appreciated!

but when i drop it on mkrest2 it says that i can flash it with xs++ i downloaded xs++ but it says your phone is not supported what now?

If you want to generate the "rest_file" you must use the MAIN, not the FS. But, if you want to patch a K770 CID53, you must first flash with :
K770_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53
K770_R8BE001_FS_EUROPE_4_RED53 and customize with
HB1-06_Gen_CDA102864_13_R6A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4, because "executor" was made only for this firmware version.
