NO, it is not normal (the phone display should remain black). This is a driver problem. So install the driver what comes with SETool2 Lite v1.11: You can follow the USB Flash Driver Installation - Guide, but use the driver from [SETool2 Lite v1.11folder]\drivers\USBFlash_driver\ folder, and it should work.

Here is a jdflasher tutorial: JDFlasher DB2020 CID52. But please bear in mind to install the good driver first.

Ok .. since I wasn't having any luck with SETool2 in regards to the USB Flash driver install, I went ahead and tried the jdflasher tutorial.
I followed the instructions to the "T" and all seem to have gone well ... didn't encounter any errors and the phone stayed at the "black screen" throught out the process.

After all was done I restarted the phone and it was as I left it before trying to unlock it. Now my question is, how can I tell for sure that the phone is unlocked?

Good evening Bhagiratha,

TO see the SIM Lock status of your phone, try pressing the following two buttons
(the joy stick, and the * button).

Press them in the following order.

>*<<*<*

This will take you to to a "Service Menu" in which you can poke around in and find the status of the SIM lock.

Network lock 5
Network subset unlock 5
Service provider unlock 5
Corporate unlock 5
Extended unlock 5

It's still locked by the looks of it dude

If some of the padlocks are closed then your phone is locked to some network. In this case unlock it by patch using jdflasher.

When i started XS+ program asked me to change CID 49 to CID 52 and i dont have any flash file. Is that program do it automatical???

Give us more details. What doesn't works exactly? The patch generator gives you some error or the SETool2 Lite? Please post the logs...

No. Just fiind out what version your MAIN is then generate the unlock patch and after that apply it with SeTool or JDFlasher :D

Have you applied the quick access patch successfully? I mean you haven't got some bytes mismatch error? Also have you installed the USB flash driver from [SETool 2 Lite1.11]\drivers\USBFlash_driver\ folder? If not then install this driver and try again.

If it doesn't works, use jdflasher instead. Tutorial: JDFlasher DB2020 CID52.

i had converting my phone from k530 to w660
( according to: Converting K610/K618/V630 and K530 to W660. Full Guide! - myForum )
after i had finish the converting and switch on the phone and insert the sim card its appear "configuration error. please contact your network operator or service center" but the thing is i had try the sim on other phone and it's ok.
can anyone help me?????

You get the configuration error because you haven't customized your phone. Please tell us what is the name of the FS you flashed to phone, so we can give you the right custom pack...

We all are waiting for your Generator for CID53.When will it be?

Well, I need a couple of minutes only to modify the program to support the CID53 firmwares, but the problem is that there is no free tool what could apply the generated patches.

will this unlock a w610i off of VIRGIN network (uk)

i have problem you see, my w610i will not goto the main menu, unless i buy/find a virgin sim card

even if i goto flight mode, it requires a sim card, and must be virgin

If your phone's CID is less than 53, then it can be unlocked for free(check out the first post of this thread). The download links are working for me. So, try again...

Edit: I just found your thread about unlocking the phone( w610i unlocking please help...). So, flash your phone with those firmwares linked by senter, and then unlock your phone, using that MAIN firmware.

Simox, your guide/program is awesome. Thanks to you I can now use my Blyk simcard in my k770i.
I managed to remove the simlock from my phone within about 30 mins (5 mins to find this site, 5 mins to download the programs, 5 mins to understand what to do and 15 mins of flashing :D)

Now you can patch CID53 phones using the latest JDFlasher plugin. So please... Give us a hand and modify the program to support CID53 firmwares.

Well, I can update my tool to support the CID53 support, but the bad news is that jdflasher doesn't support the CID53 patching(the informations at those links are false)...

I have a quick question. Even I got the CONFIGURATION ERROR after following the unlock procedure. By going through the forums I found that we need to put a custom pack to avoid this error. But how do we determine which custom pack to use with which MAIN FIRMWARE version?

I used the W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn file to unlock my W580 phone.
