Why can't I patch-unlock my K800i? I have changed Main and FS several times, tried several different ones and still can't unlock! :confused:

I am using XS++ I have a K550i with DB2020 CID49 and a W700 DB2020 CID51, how am I suppose to unlock them using XS++ I have already backed up the GDFs, but I seem not to unterstand how to unlock them with that program, can anyone help me, thanks.

Thanks but is there a way to do it with only XS++ instead of SETool, I dont want to get confused, please let me know, thanks.

First, connect the phones to XS++, and let it to upgrade their EROM CIDs to 52. Then follow the guide that jasmin linked. There is no way to unlock the phones with XS++ at the moment.

Jasmin, thank you for prompt reply. Thanks to you, I have found what I was doing wrong! I have had followed the wrong procedure (CID 49) because last week I used it to unlock W300i and it worked like charm! The difference is I didn't make/use "Quick Access" patch, which I did now, but still no success! :confused:

So, an hour ago I followed 2020 CID52 procedure exactly, everything went fine. At the start the phone shows another message on its display:
"Configuration error. Contact your network operator or service center". (This message was in French language and I translated it, so it might be slightly different as it appears in English). When I get into "secret" menu (Service Info menu), then SIM Lock sub menu, all padlocks are open with number 5 to the padlock's right, but still I can not use the phone!

I flashed K800_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52 and K800_R1JC002_FS_ORANGE_GEN_RED52 because I couldn't find better matches of MAIN and FS. Maybe this is a problem?

Also, you recommended latest FW version - K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52, but I do not have an adequate FS with French language. So, I don't know what should I do to solve this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, guys!

You need 1 more file to finish flashing - needed CUSTPACK which must be the same region like FS , but look here Top Sony - Languages Description and find FS which will be suitable to your language

So, this "CUSTPACK" you are writing about, is it the same as "Customization" from XS++? There is a box to check in there when flashing and it gives me the possibility to choose different languages. Should I do it in there, or strictly from the link you provided?

OK, here I am again!
I flashed the phone again, but this time with K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52 and K800_R8BF003_FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52 (the only FS I had for this MAIN), I did it from XS++ where I have chosen the same customization as FS. Everything went fine, no error. Then I used SETool2Lite to unlock with the adequate patch made of the same MAIN. The phone turns on smoothly, but after several seconds with "Orange" as Network Provider name on the screen, it switches to "Inactive SIM" message. SIM Lock sub menu shows that the phone is unlocked to all operators. (I couldn't unlock-patch from XS++ because the "Patch" button stays inactive (gray colored) even after I choose the right .vkp patch file which I previously made from the same MAIN). Just to mention that Network settings are set to GSM Network, and I have tried several SIM cards from several providers, some of them are UMTS (Orange F). Why is this happening? :confused: Is it maybe a hardware problem, or am I still doing something wrong? I heard a story that this unit might had been stolen before I bought it, so its IMEI has been "blacklisted" with operators... :(

Try put someone alse SIM card , maybe your SIM not work good

I tried with several SIM cards, it is the same thing.

Thanks, but I am getting an error, when I plug the K550i it tells me to update, I do, and then disconnect, but when I connect it back, it still says it is a CID 51, after that the SETool will not work, it takes forever and never does anything after connecting, I am doing something wrong? Or my phone is locked for some reason, by the way the phone has a LOCK, I know the password. Any idea, thanks!

Pull out battery some time,put it back and than try connect with XS++

I will give it a try like that, what happens if it doesnt work with that? So I take the battery out, then back in, connect it back, do the upgrade, unplug it, take the battery out again for a while, then put it back in and try it? Correct?

Hello I got updates, I did what you said, to take the battery out for awhile and then put it back in, still same thing... it still CID 5, cant update it to CID 52 with XS++ any idea what else to do?

Please use the search enging eot answer your questions.

CID53 can only be unlocked by a pay service.

You can use ultimate unlocker to downgrade your cid to cid53 which will allow you to MOD your phone using the tutorials at Top Sony.

Hi to everybody.
I have an old locked V800, DB2000, CID36.
I upgrated it with xs++ 3.1 in Z800 using below files:
Z800_R1Y005_MAIN_EU_2_VI_RED36.mbn
Z800_R1Y005_FS_EUROPE_2_RED36.fbn
After rebooting, i had the known "configuration error".
Trying to use any custpack, xs++ is going on bruteforcing and after a while it stops waiting for connection.
I've tried simlock generator but the execute button in xs++ is always inactive.
I've tried setool lite 1.1 but it doesn't support cid36.
Any other ideas to unlock the phone?

I run this tool XS++v3.2.exe to find out Platform and CID info from my SE K800i phone. It displayed all the info as expected - Platform : DB2020 and EROM CID : 49.
After displaying the info, a pop-up dialog appeared which asked if you want to upgrade your EROM CID from 49 to 52 with "Yes" and "No" button? I clicked "yes" it said succesfully updated. Now I am not being able to start the phone when I connect the phone with XS++v3.2.exe it just says :

Did not receive 0x5a. Continuing

First of all don't use 3.2 version(it's beta and not stabile) - use 3.1 Darwin instead,remove battery,put it back but now try to connect with Setool2lite and post log here without IMEI number

I found two versions XS++ v3[1].2 and XS++ v31. Which one do you think I should use?

Hello...my first topic here in the english forum.
I unlocked correctly an K550i Cid 52 with ours tutorials.
But today, I actualized my phone with SEUS and my phone became again unlocked and the worst it's that it became a K550i CD53 :-(
I got the GFDS file of the phone when it was a CID 52 phone...can I write that GDFS on the phone to downgrad the CID and became unlocked again by the more simply SIM-LOCK remove pacth? Or should I try to unlock with the CID 53?
