If you already have the original MAIN and FS files for your phone, there's no need to backup the drivers from the phone. You will find the acoustic, camera and display drivers by extracting the raw content of FS (file system) with GExtract 1.3 and SEFSTool4.Quote:

if I flash my phone for example to w610i MAIN then w610i FS, can I use custom pack for k550i instead of w610i... is this possible?
yes you can but with the same language or region pack with the firmware you flash and bear in mind that if u flash with other costum pack the SEUS wont recognize your phone and declare your phone has no update.
So far I havn't seen anyone who has successfully flash the uiq3 phone~

I don't know someone personally that unbranded a K770. But it shouldn't be a problem. Just flash generic firmware to your phone.
The only firmware suitable for you is R8AA018, because the other one is branded.

(if it is my brand ... I can flash it back for the warranty conditions or am I wrong?)

Have a look at the languages description to find out wether this is the firmware you need. You can find it on the mainsite.
Regarding the warranty: Well, you void your warranty as soon as you flash different firmware to your phone but the service centers usually don't find out if you flash the original firmware back to the phone.

No, the branding usually is also in the MAIN and FS. What operator do you have?

There isn't O2 firmware and neither O2 custpacks yet so you won't be able to flash your phone back to that condition.

Hmmm...sorry, but I'm not 100% sure about that. What I know is that you can't read files from the phone with FAR Manager+SEFP. It's write only for DB2020 phones.

ccmak: The custpacks of smartphones are embedded in the firmware. I haven't seen a specific firmware for singapore yet.
elx: What drivers?! Do you mean the USB flash drivers that you need to connect your phone properly?
Sorry, I meant custom drivers. Like ones for the camera and stuff.
It's described in the tutorial (V. Uploading acoustics/camdrivers etc.).
Please post detailed questions if you don't understand what you've got to do.

Excellent tutorial. Clear, concise, and accurate. The only issue I had was PC/driver related and a reboot cleared that up. Worked like a charm in retrieving the phone lock code from a w300i.
One minor suggestion is to add information stating where the GDFS backup is stored, just for completeness. Yes, it's obvious, but it's rarely a mistake to restate the obvious :).
