hi! i have a k610i@w660i and i want to put the patch..how will i do that? i have setool2..i read this topic SE-Tuning View topic - Applying patches with SETool2 lite 1.11 on DB2020 but i didn't understand much..could you please help a little bit?

can i use xs++ 3.1 instead of setool for appying the patch? does it need any special procedure to do that?(like with setool2?)
First copy the code of patch to notepad and save as patch.vkp
How to remove or add the patch with setool 2 Lite:
- Select your phone model
- click Use "quick access" patch tick box
- add the same Patch to MISC File
- Click Write Script
- Hold C and insert Cable
- Click "Yes" to remove the patch. Click "No" to add the patch.

how can this patch help on a k610i@w660i with the illumination patch? doesn't the brightness still has to be at 50-60%?
Hey Deusdies, what MAIN and FS files did you download for your k610i? I've got one from 2 years ago, and it just died on me on the way home. I got it in Germany, it's an o2 and was unlocked when I bought it. I live in the States now, and am looking for the right firmware. I think I need K610_R1ED001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED49 and K610_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_TH_RED49. Is this right?
Also, where should I download the FAR program from? I've already got the XS++, and I've found some tutorials to walk me through the flashing process. I'm just trying to cover my rear end and make sure I have all the right files before I try to flash this thing. I love the phone...
