You should restore your GDFS backup ( if you have one). The other option is to repair it with SeTool BOX(gsm service).
Or, find someone to port this patch:

I reloaded my GDFS and then flashed the phone. It worked baring switching to a white screen when I applied pressure to the slider. Now when I trun it on it just flashes a white screen. Should I be reflashing it or is it a hardware issue?

You could have a faulty upper keypad circuit board and you need to replace the upper keypad.

I will have a look into it. Is there any way to test the existing one or is it pretty much a swop and check with new part procedure?
