How can you tell if your w810i is locked to a network

Press <**< then you will see a menu, if the locks are closed its locked the phone is locked. But if they are open you have no lock.

Just Press <**< then you will see a Lock menu

Try inserting another operator's sim card into the phone and using it?

There is the classic >*<<*<* string too for service menù. Choose Service info -> Sim unlock.
Another way is Setopl lite which show you if it is locked (also if it's patch unlocked)
